ACTIVITY 3: Focusing Specimen
Topic: Microscope
Objective: In this activity, grade 7 students should be able to focus the specimen under Low Power Objective (LPO) of a
compound light microscope within 10 minutes.
Performance Task: Each student will be given one compound light microscope and one ready-made slide. They will
collect light, focus the specimen, and put the microscope back to its storage position. They will be given 10 minutes to do
it.
Materials: Compound light microscope, ready-made slide
