i. Demonstrate the use of initiative and independence whilst conducting an investigation

of an engineering problem.
ii. Define an engineering problem using current technical literature, industry standards
and engineering knowledge and express its wider significance in a social, economic and
environmental context.
iii. Effectively monitor quantitative and experimental techniques, analyse data and evaluate
results to solve engineering problems through application of specific relevant
technologies.
iv. Critically discuss the results and relevance of your work in the context of the
engineering problem and their wider economic, social and environmental impact
through coherent communication and dissemination.
