Topic: Where Are You From?

Learning objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. describe at least three aspects of each counties to
their group members.
2. Ask and answer at least two questions to show
understanding correctly using cue cards.

Activities:
Pre-lesson: 1. Pupils are shown a video that consists of aspects
from 7 countries.
2. Teacher throws out questions regarding on the
video
- what country is this?
Lesson- 1. Teacher projects slides that contains information
development: about those countries.
2. Teacher conducts a Q&A session in the class and
respond to each answer.
3. Teacher shows the questions used by the teacher
in the Q&A session and explain how they can be
used to obtain information.
Post-development: 1. Pupils are divided into seven groups. Each group
will be stations at seven different booths. Each
booth will represent each nation (Malaysia, China,
Brazil, Mexico, South Korea, The UK, The US).
2. Each group will be given a Passport (a description
of the country they are representing) and plane
tickets.
3. Each group is given some time to understand their
representative country.
4. The group members who have the plane ticket will
have to go and travel to another ‘country’ to learn
more about those countries.
5. One person in each group will have to stay to
explain to those who are coming about his/ her
country.
6. Once they have done, they come back to their
native country and explain to the group member
who stays.
