1. Install IBM Data Studio and configure a new database connection.
2. Configure HADR settings on the primary and standby databases including the host, port, instance and synchronization mode.
3. Update the HADR configuration parameters and start HADR on the primary database in primary mode and on the standby database in standby mode.

3. Set all values in New Connection to a database wizard
4. Click Test Connection
5. Click ‘OK’ then click ‘Next’ and ‘Finish’.
6. Right click on instance and on manage database click on manage HADR. 7. On Primary database tab confirm your parameters. 8. On standby Database tab select standby system instance in connection profile and select option use an existing database. 9. Check copy object tab 10. On TCP/IP tab set HADR port number for both Primary and Standby, make sure both port are same. 11. Check Client Reroute tab. 12. On Synchronization tab set synchronization mode for HADR to log writing. 13. On option tab select start HADR immediately . 14. And click on Run. 15. HADR configuration commands run and show output.
