Expt. No Date REAL POWER FLOW CONTROL BY VARYING VOLTAGE AND LINE REACTANCE AIM: To observe the impact of real power flow on a transmission line by varying the line voltage andline reactance. PROCEDURE: 1. Connections are done as per the circuit diagram 2. At constant load, set the auto transformer of the two lines to 230V, switch on the supply and note down the meter readings 3. By keeping one line voltage constant, other line voltage is reduced and all meter readings are noted down. 4. Plot the graph of Power flow in line 1, Power flow in Line 2, Total Power Flow Vs Line 1 voltage 5. Comment on the significance of power flow variations due to voltage control 6. Bring back the system condition as mentioned in step 2 7. Vary the Line 1 reactance and note the power flow in both the lines QVote: Load should be kept constant) 8 Plot the graph of Power flow in line 1, Power flow in Line 2, Total Power Flow Vs Line 1 voltage 9. Compare the power flow variations wrt line reactance change and voltage change and make comment RESULT: Real power flow control was observed by varying the supply voltage and line reactance. Graphs related to power flow in lines was plotted against reduced voltage in voltage control method and graphs related to power flow in lines was plotted against reduced line reactance in reactance control method was plotted Evaluation Register No. Name of the Student: Expt No. Title of the Expt: ‘Components ‘Marks | instrument ines Marks ‘Awarded 11 | initial Preparation 20 Report format 5 |Report 3— Default Format 0-2-Filling detai (S.No, date, Machine data) Greuit design 10 |Report 0-5 — Gircuit diagram (symbols, size, neatness) 0-5 —Design (Ratings of components and meters, type) indent 5 |Report 0-5 — Specifications and quantity 12 | Conduction 30 Hardware connection | 10 | Expt Table | 0-7 Layout, neatness, 0-5 correctness, tightness, cable sizing Measurements/Meter | 10 | Expt Table | 0-10 no of readings, Readings range of observation, Precautions 5 |Report 05 initial condition, safety ‘Arrangement of 5 | Expttable | 0-5 Layout, neatness, equipment 13 | Result & Inference 20 Graph/ investigations |_5 | Report | 0-3 Scale, Axistitles and marking/0-3 analy: 0-2 Legend/ 0-2 findings Inference 10 |Report 02 result 0-8 observations Reasoning 3__| Viva 0-5 Understanding Total 70 = aN a ] 3h Beane | tr Regn eee! 5) shag 4! per sl : ose ose os ee ose s _ 087 Jonwo A. z fe ost os | ose ose les os ose . osz os : ose ose fonw09 x 1 (M+ TN) (ww) (Nv cra wen GN rd “wits | pwod may | 4g 1ow0d Buyap2y | sod Zaury | a8eoazoury | s9sogrourT | oBey0, 1 aur] wonuoy | ons |
