5.) SEISMIC LOAD
The seismic loads shall be computed from the guidelines provided in

Importance factor = 1.5
Response reduction factor = 5
The structure and has been idealised as a space frame in Staad Pro. For their analysis, refer staad
output enclosed at the end of the document.
6.) FOUNDATION DATA

As Per Soil Report Allowable Bearing Capacity At 1.5 M Below

is 6.5 t/m2 for Spread footing & 9.1 t/m2 for raft
SEISMIC LOAD CALCULATIONS:-

h = 6.9 m

Total Load, W= (DL + TANK LOAD+0.5LL)

Sa/g = 2.5
Multiplying factor(ZI/2R) = 0.036

Total CQC Shear From Staad = 904 t

Base Shear X Direction from fundamental period = 808.83 t

Since base shear from staad is more than base shear from fundamental period of the structure,
No further correction is required.
In Z direction
Fundamental Natural Period Ta = 0.075 x h^0.75 (as per IS : 1893 Part-1:2016, Cl-7.6.2(c),pg-21)

Sa/g = 2.5
Multiplying Factor(ZI/2R) = 0.036

Total CQC Shear From Staad = 827 t

Base Shear Z Direction from fundamental period = 808.83 t

Since base shear from staad is more than base shear from fundamental period of the structure, .
No further correction is required.

D). Minimum Ast as per Surface zone :
Surface zone for walls upto 500 mm thick is D/2, where D is the thickness of the wall.
For walls with thickness greater than 500 mm, surface zone is 250 mm from each face.
(Central core, if any, may be ignored.)
Minimum R/F = 0.175 % for deformed steel bars
