EFFECTIVE PROJECT PROPOSALS
In order to win a potential project the comprehensive proposal must contain all the necessary
information.
This course has been designed for Professional who are responsible for generating project
proposal.
This course provides hands‐on training for Primavera’s Enterprise P6 Course. Participants will
gain a thorough background in the concepts of scheduling and planning. This course leads you
through hands‐on workshop that creates and tracks an entire project to completion.
Project monitoring allows project managers and project stakeholders to continuously evaluate the
performance of projects against agreed parameters, whereas project control provides effective
mechanisms to keep projects on track. This training program enables participants to understand
the tools and techniques for effective monitoring and control during the life of a project.
The program will provide comprehensive knowledge about the methods for project monitoring
and evaluation. It will also assist in understanding project reporting requirements and developing
effective strategies for controlling projects.
MODULE 1
PROJECT MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK & TOOLS
PROGRAME OVERVIEW
Project management cycle is carefully planned and organized effort to accomplish a specific one
time effort. These includes developing a project plan, which includes project goals & objectives ,
specifying tasks or how goals will be achieved, what resources are needed , associated budgets and
timelines for completion. PM usually follows major phases including Feasibility study, project
planning, implementation, evaluation & support/maintenance.

MODULE 3
Earned Value Management is a project management technique which aims at controlling and
managing project through milestones, and objectively. EVM also provides an early warning of
performance problems while there is time for corrective action. Hence it is seen as a very
powerful method to detect and mitigate financial risks. In addition, EVM improves the definition
of project scope, prevents scope creep, communicates objective progress to stakeholders, and
keeps the project team focused on achieving progress.
This section will introduce you to the fundamental concepts of Earned Value Management
(EVM). It will provide hands-on overview of the process of EVM, from project development to
execution. You will learn the language associated with EVM. It emphasizes the processes related
to the Performance Management Baseline (PMB) for EVM systems. You will also learn about
evaluating and computing basic EVM metrics and EVM metrics-based Estimates at Completion
(EAC).
Prerequisites
Suggested Prerequisites
•Basic project management knowledge
•Project Management in Primavera P6 ( Module 2)
GRAPHICAL ANALYSIS
•Making Use of Earned Value Graphs
•Interpreting the Plot of Planned Value
•Interpreting the Plot of Earned Value
•Interpreting the Plot of Cost
