Variable Discussion

This research study is focused on tackling about yerba buena and turmeric as an alternative
medicinal tea that can help people to overcome their health problems. The Yerba Buena and turmeric is
the dependent variable used in this study. A dependent variable is the variable being tested and measured
in a scientific experiment. The dependent variable is 'dependent' on the independent variable. As the
experimenter changes the independent variable, the effect on the dependent variable is observed and
recorded. (Carlson, R., 2006). This study seeks to find solutions which are essential in our body that can
use for different types of cancer, heart diseases, liver disease and more. This study aims to test and
discover more about the said plant as medicinal tea. According to studies published by Juan Flavier
(1992) a brochure of 10 medicinal plants (akapulko, ampalaya, bawang, bayabas, lagundi, niyog-niyogan,
pansit-pansitan, sambong, tsaang-gubat, yerba buena) for common health problems. Likewise, A study
was conducted in Japan (April 2010) by IkuoNishigaki, et.al., about Beneficial Effects of Green Tea: A
Literature review. The health benefits of green tea for a wide variety of ailments, including different types
of cancer, heart disease, and liver disease, were reported. Many of these beneficial effects of green tea are
related to its catechin, particularly (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate, content. Effectiveness of Yerba buena
and turmeric are indeed one of the possible factors for people to treat their illness and other health
problems. Lack of money for buying some medicines or expensive supplements, etc. May lead to lack of
cure and prevention from the illnesses and can cause a sudden death. But people can prevent those by
taking good care of themselves by using or drinking of medicinal tea, it is one of the best way to prevent
those health problems. While the alternative medicinal tea is the independent variable used in this study.
Independent variable is the variable that is stable and unaffected by the other variables you are trying to
measure. It refers to the condition of an experiment that is systematically manipulated by the investigator.
It is the presumed cause. Medicinal/herbal tea is a beverage made from steeping or boiling herbs, or the
herbs used to make such a beverage. Unlike actual teas, herbal teas do not come from the camellia
Sinensis plant. (Goodwin, L., 2018)
