Extinguishing Media Suitable Extinguishing Media
If involved in fire, the product will not burn. Choose Water, foam carbon dioxide or dry chemicals.
extinguishing media to suit the burning material
Special Fire Fighting Procedures Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazard
Fire-fighters should wear NIOSH/MHSA approved This product, or spray solutions of this product, can
self-contained breathing apparatus and full fire- react with galvanized steel or unlined steel (except
fighting turn out gear. Dike area to prevent runoff and stainless steel) containers and tanks, to produce
contamination of water sources. Dispose of fire hydrogen gas which may form a highly flammable gas
control water later. mixture. If involved in a major fire, could evolve oxides
of nitrogen or phosphorus.
Hazardous Combustion Products
May emit toxic fumes of hydrogen chloride, oxides of phosphorus or phosgene if involved in fires or exposed to
extreme heat.

SECTION 6 — ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal precautions
Spills and Disposal: Contain spill and absorb with clay, sand, soil or proprietary absorbent (vermiculite). Collect
spilled material and waste in sealed open-top type containers for disposal. Final clean up with degreasing agent or
detergent is advised.
Environmental precautions
Prevent material from entering public sewer systems or any waterways. Do not flush to drains.

SECTION 7 — HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling
Do not get in eyes. Avoid contact with skin or clothing. Avoid breathing spray mist. Users should wash hands before
eating, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. Remove Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) immediately
after handling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and
change into clean clothing.
Storage
Store in the closed, original container in a dry, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight. Store in a safe place away from
foodstuffs, seeds or fertilizers. Store out of the reach of children. Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or
disposal.
Other Information
DO NOT MIX, STORE OR APPLY THIS PRODUCT OR SPRAY SOLUTIONS OF THIS PRODUCT IN GALVANISED STEEL OR UNLINED
STEEL (EXCEPT STAINLESS STEEL) CONTAINERS OR SPRAY TANKS.
This product or spray solutions of this product react with such containers and tanks to produce hydrogen gas which may form
a highly combustible gas mixture. This gas mixture could flash or explode, causing serious personal injury, if ignited by open
flame, spark, welder’s torch, lighted cigarette or other ignition source.

SECTION 8 — EXPOSURE CONTROL / PERSONAL PROTECTION

Exposure Limits
No exposure limits have been set for this product.
Engineering Controls
Handle in well-ventilated area, generally natural ventilation is adequate.
Personal Protective Equipment
Eye/ Face Protection
To avoid contact with eyes, wear chemical goggles or shielded safety glasses. An emergency eyewash or water supply should
be readily accessible to the work area.
Skin Protection
To avoid contact with skin, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist and washable hat, and elbow length PVC
gloves. An emergency shower or water supply should be readily accessible to the work area.
Respiratory Protection
Not normally required. If vapors or mists exceed acceptable levels, wear NIOSH approved air-purifying respirator with
cartridges/canisters approved for use against pesticides.
