GRC Access Control 2010 - Enabling Debug Logging for MSMP

The following procedure outlines the activities/customization you need to perform in order to enable
the Debug logging for MSMP requests.
We strongly recommend customer should enable this log only in exceptional situations and disable
the log once the problem is resolved.
1. Enabling MSMP Debug Log (Transaction: GRFNMW_DEBUG ): You can enable MSMP File Debug log
using transaction GRFNMW_DEBUG for the situations in which MSMP audit log is not sufficient to
analyze the problems. You can customize the debug logging for each of the msmp processes.

Note: The customizing where to write the log file (GRFN_MSMP_RUNTIME_LOG) is standard in
transaction FILE – Change it only if required.
2. Choosing Granularity of MSMP Debug Log Messages (Transaction: GRFNMW_DEBUG_MSG): You can
choose the granularity of the MSMP debug log messages using Transaction GRFNMW_DEBUG_MSG.
You need to add the log categories for the msmp process to be able to log them to file log configured in
step 1.
3. View the Logs: You can view the files in standard transaction AL11 in the directory that is configured
in the first step. One file for each of the MSMP request is generated and Logging begins after the
successful submission of request to MSMP.

Double click on file, to view the log messages:
