Day 1
Monday
May 20, 2019

In order to prepare the school for the Opening of Classes for School Year 2019--2020,

Jamoyaon Elementary School conducted the Brigada Eskwela 2019 which was formally

opened with a Parade throughout the barangay at about 8:15 o’clock in the morning of May 20,

2019. This was participated by the different stakeholders whom were present on this first day

of the Brigada Eskwela 2019.

To formally open the six-day activity, an opening parade was conducted. This was

participated by the Jamoyaon Elementary School Teachers, Barangay Officials and Workers,

General PTA Officers, SSG Officers, Parents who brought along with them their cleaning gears

to be used in cleaning the school premises. Jamoyaon Elementary School Teachers together

with their General PTA Officials joined the parade too. The opening program was then

followed and held in the School Stage. After the welcome address given by Maam Solita T.

Pacillos, MT-I, the presentation on the mechanics of Brigada Eskwela 2019 was given by Sir

Edgardo S. Golo.

Without any delay, right after the opening program, the parents of respective grade level

went to their designated area, while some of the SSG Officers who also attended the activity

extended their full support through preparing the snacks for the volunteers and assisting the

teacher of the day in monitoring the attendance of parents.

In the afternoon of the same day. The teachers were very glad to see the accomplishment

made by the parents who showed dedication and full support to help improve the school despite

of the rainy morning and sunny afternoon.

Day 2
Tuesday
May 22, 2019

The sunny bright morning of May 26, 2019 gave the teachers and staff of Jamoyaon

Elementary School another hope for a mile of accomplishment. Early in the morning as the

teachers reached the school, three of the parents were already there cleaning the school ground.

One parent said: “ma’am alas 5:00 pa ako nagsugod kay dakan dako-dako an ako agi adiser

ako mouli kay bagan kasuga karajaw anhi di ako makaangot kon taas na an suga”.On this day,

a total of forty-five (45) stakeholders rendered their time to continue the Brigada Eskwela’s

activity. Twenty-two (22) were present in the morning and twenty-one (21) in the afternoon,

while two (2) SSG Officers assisted the teachers in preparing the snacks and monitoring the

attendance.

Despite of the heat of the sun, the parents still did the cleaning under the shade of some

trees while others use their umbrella to protect themselves from the heat of the sun.

The day’s accomplishment was purely cleaning of the school premises. The assigned

area intended for Grade 1 and Grade 2 parents were almost finished before the parents went

home. Both the parents and the teachers were glad and went home happily because of another

accomplishment they made.

Day 3
Wednesday
May 23, 2019

Early morning of this day of the Brigada Eskwela 2019, parents were full of energy to

support the cleaning program implemented by the DepEd in preparation for the opening of the

classes and for another year of learning of their beloved children.

Parents were cleaning whatever is there to clean, fixing whatever is there to fix in their

assigned area while others are removing cluttered branches of trees and grasses, weeding the

ground, and disposing garbage.

They were very much inspired despite of the heat of the summer temperature that

nothing can do to stop them of what they are doing. Teachers were never disappointed because

everybody was happy and willing to spare their time to support the Brigada Eskwela. They

were determined to finish what they were doing on that day so that on the next day, other

parents who come can do another work.

In this day, we can see the big accomplishments of the two fast days of cleaning and

that is a great relief for all the school personnel to see the school ready for the opening of

classes. They were very happy knowing that they have parents who are very supportive in all

the school activities because they know that this is for the good of their children to have a clean

environment that is conducive for learning.

The brigada was successfully done on this day and everybody was satisfied as they saw

the big improvements of the school they’ve made and knowing that they are part of it since the

first day.
Day 4
Thursday
May 24, 2019

The fourth day of Brigada started at around 7:00 o’clock in the morning and ended up

at 11:00 o’clock in the morning. They started the afternoon tasks at 1:00 o’clock until 4:00 p.m.

various tasks were done simultaneously on this day by the parents of the different Grade levels.

The signing of attendance was done by the assigned teacher and it was before the parents started

their task.

Though repainting of the classroom roofing was not identified as one of the priorities,

but it was repainted that day. This was done by two (2) parents of the said Grade level. The

parents continued the school ground clean-up.

Day 5
Friday
May 25, 2019

To make the school more ready and prepared for the opening of classes, They continued

cleaning the school premises especially the area for School Garden.

Although there were more than ten (10) fathers attend the Brigada Eskwela today, most

of them were still assigned to continue cleaning the school premises specifically the site for

gardening. The parents did the finishing touches of the classrooms. Some of the SSG Officers

collected the in-kind promised by some of the stakeholders in order to prepare for tomorrow’s

activity because more stakeholders are expected to attend the last day of the brigade

implementation.

The day’s accomplishment was still more on cleaning.

Day 6
Saturday
May 25, 2019

As early as 7:00 o’clock in the morning taday, the Barangay Officials and Workers

headed by the very supportive Barangay Captain Hon. Edilberto L. Empesto report to

Jamoyaon Elementary School to render the one-day “boluntaryo” as what they’ve promised.

In order to protect the school environment from astray animals, barangay workers and

barangay officials helped constructing the perimeter fence’s. Most of the Barangay Health

Workers and Utility Workers continue the cleaning of the unfinished garden area while some

of the do the dumping and burning of some garbage to eliminate the host of mosquitoes at the

back of the rooms.

Though not all of the planned activities are done, the Jamoyaon Elementary teachers

and staff are very much thankful to all the stakeholders for extending their full support to

Jamoyaon Elementary School.
