ANIMALS AND THEIR ABILITIES

Dolphins

As members of the whale family, dolphins are fully aquatic mammals that spend their
entire lives underwater. Their skin is very sensitive to impacts.

Dolphins uses “signature whistles” to identify themselves to others. They use other
dolphins’ signature whistles as a manner of calling their names.

Dolphins can also mimic movements, of both humans and other animals.

Chimpanzees are great apes (not monkeys) who are native to the continent of
Africa. Chimpanzees usually sleep in the trees and generally eat fruit and plants.
They are known for their intelligence: from the ability to remember symbols, they
can learn words, play with objects, and even seem to mourn the deaths of their
friends.
They communicate with one another through a system of vocalizations, facial
expressions, body postures, and gestures.
