    Big Idea:
    • Place value is related to addition and subtraction.

    Essential Questions:
    • What is a place value?
    • How does place value relate to addition or subtraction?

    Desired results (KUDos):


    Students will know:
    • That the number on the far right is the ones place.
    • That that the number two places over from the right is the tens place.
    • That that the number three places over from the right is the hundreds place.
    Students will be able to:
    • Align columns according to place value.
    • Add or subtract numbers within the same place value column.
    Students will understand:
    • Ones, tens, and hundreds place values.
