The Rail-Veyor track can
easily be installed on a lightly
ballasted route with rail and
steel ties making up the track
system.

The route along an existing

truck route, mine drift or
over a quarry floor will make
an ideal base to support the
system’s light footprint with
a load of only 8 lbs/sq inch.

Optimum System Application Guidelines:
Generally more than 2/3 mi. (1 km) haulage distance
Generally more than 1M tons (0.9M tonnes) per year (Less for underground)

Material Size:
30” (762mm) car width will generally accommodate 24” (610mm) material size
48” (1219mm) car width will generally accommodate 36” (914mm) material size
Above may depend on material size distribution percentages

Curve ability:
100 ft (30 meter) radius min horizontally
16.5 ft (5 meter) radius min vertically

Grade ability:
R-V is proven on grades up to 22%.
Can go higher as there is no vibration to cause material rollback.

Maximum Train length

Technically there is no limit but it is usually determined by system layout (loops,
sidings), and loading requirements

System Tonnage Rates:
System rates up to 10,000 tons (9,000 tonnes) per hour are possible and are
generally determined by loading system limitations.
These high or higher tonnage rates may require multiple systems.

General System Speeds:

Loading speed 5 ft./sec, 3.35 MPH (1.5m/sec, 5.4 KPH)
Tramming speed 20 ft/sec, 13.4 MPH (6.0m/sec, 21.6 KPH)
Dumping speed 10 ft/sec, 6.7 MPH (3 m/sec, 10.8 KPH)
Above are guidelines which depending on overall system TPH requirements are
optimized

Easy Portability ( Relocate / Extend):

Ability to install or relocate a drive station in less that one 8 hour shift

Rail-Veyor has a simple light footprint:

Only 8 PSI load with small level roadway needed with 2” (5cm) gravel base
6 ft (1.8m) wide (just track), 15 ft (4.5m) wide (at drive station)
