family. Often times, children are not expected to leave their family house until they get
married; and even after then, couples choose to stick with their parents. As seen in the
tradition of our country, Philippines, we opt to recognize the importance of family values.
Filipinos do put their families first before any other else. As stated in the article, the term
kapwa lies to the Filipino values. It means that we share sense of identity and consciousness to
those people around us most especially our loved ones. Filipino culture is incomplete without
family related in it. It is the very core of our morals and values that builds our capacity as a
human being. In conclusion, Filipinos are very much optimistic about families, it is very crucial
to put the family first. Hence, Filipinos cherish their families and that builds and empower not
only the families but also the values that make up themselves, as human beings.

As stated in the article of Philstar, Filipinos are most likely in Asia to share intimate
moments with their partners. It was said that Filipinos are more expressive among all countries
in Asia because around 87% say that they say “I love you” to their partner every week, while
68% reportedly do so every day. These just depict that Filipinos are also voluntary self-giving in
love. Intimacy of Filipinos has been in our culture, panliligaw or courting is one of the many
cultures we have in the Philippines. In our country, it is highly depicted in our traditions, the
local acts that our ancestors do to gain the trust of the family. Intimacy in the country, although
the act of courting is not much visible, is obtained. We highly respect the values that courting
teaches. We believe that we are not just gaining the person we want to pursue but as well as
the family. We see intimacy as the very foundation of a strong relationship. Hence, Filipinos
regard the importance of intimacy in our country as well as culture.
