 Counting Cards
These counting cards work like magic when teaching children to count, learn one to one
correspondence, quantity, and number recognition.

Print off the cards on card stock, paper, or photo paper and laminate for extra durability.

Start with 3-5 numbers at a time, depending on the child’s abilities. Once they master the
group of numbers, add on others and increase the difficulty.

Have children use counters such as mini

erasers, gems, acrylics, buttons, or any
other object to place below the number
card. Encourage the children to put the
counters in a line and to practice
counting as they place each one down.

Use a different set for each month or

weekly theme.
