BISLERI INTERNATIONAL PVT LIMITED

Bisleri International Pvt Ltd is a brand of bottled water that has been serving pure and germ
free water for decades now. It is the most trusted brand of bottled water in India. Bisleri was
founded by Felice Bisleri in 1965. It was then bought by Parle in 1969.

VISION

It is to be the dominant player in the branded water business where the second player is less
than 20% of our business. Also, to expand and be a leader in the premium beverage category.

MISSION
Their mission is to serve the customer. To have world class quality, at the lowest production
and distribution cost. This will make them an unbeatable leader, and will have satisfied loyal
customers.

VALUES
They look for the best QUALITY to offer wanting every person to have access to clean and
affordable drinking water. And what drives them towards this goal is their PASSION to
constantly move from “Consumer Satisfaction” to “Consumer Delight”.

Strategic directions of the company


A strategic plan is an outline of steps designed with the goals of the entire organisation as a
whole in mind, rather than with the goals of specific division or departments. At bisleri they
look for penetration strategies and product development strategies.
The company has used the penetration strategies by making the available products in
different sizes. The company uses innovative concepts like 1.2 litre bottle which helps to
offer consumer more content at lower price. The company is also penetrating the market by
shifting its focus from the retail market to the bulk market.
Bisleri also uses the product development strategies. The company is planning to introduce
new products like fruit juices. This will not only decrease the risk of operating with a single
product but also make use of its competences to develop a new product.

Organisational structure at bisleri


The company follows the decontrolled structure. The chairman and the founder of the
company control and direct all the organizational processes. So the company moreover has a
CEO controlled structure.

When asked about the decision making to be centralised or decentralised?


The company follows centralised decision making which are taken by the chairman himself.
The present structure is suitable because the company has single product and the centralised

decision making enables the flexibility to the changing condition which is necessary for the
success of the organization.

Aim of the company is to not only look into the value addition of the employees but to

Apart from our mission to provide clean and safe drinking water, the company also take
initiatives to keep our environment healthy
Being the largest brand of mineral water in the country, Bisleri always been extremely
conscious of the nuisance PET bottles create, when not disposed properly. They have
installed centres for recycling PET scrap at various places across the country. When it comes
to PET disposal and recycling, they believe in going beyond the realms of our brand and
accept plastic from all brands in the market. They endeavour to open more such centres every
year, so that all Indians have access to recycling their plastic bottles and cleaning up after
themselves
The PET bottles collected by them are crushed into fine PET flakes which are then used to
create useful products like - Cloth fabric, Hand bags, Window blinds and other useful
products.
