Mortgage Professionals Canada Online Courses

Guide to Getting Started

Introduction
Congratulations on taking this important step in your Mortgage career! Mortgage
Professionals Canada is proud to be your education provider as you discover your place in
the Canadian mortgage industry. Please review the following key points below for more
information on your course. Please contact Education@MortgageProsCan.ca should you
have any questions or require further information.

Course Content & Delivery

Self-paced, online learning is a great way to work your own personal and professional
development around your schedule. Mortgage Professionals Canada strives to enhance
your online experience. Through our “Virtual Study Group” hosted on Facebook, you can
meet and interact with your virtual classmates and post and view others’ questions related
to the course.

To access the Virtual Study Group, please visit www.facebook.com and login using your
existing Facebook account. Then, search for the public group called “Mortgage
Professionals Canada Education – Virtual Study Groups” and select your respective
provincial Study Group. Questions are normally answered within 2 business days.

For Saskatchewan & Manitoba Licensing Courses please note that a financial
calculator is required for successful completion of your program.

The Final Examination

Exams must be completed within six months of your registration date. This timeline allows
you at least five months of study time, as well as the ability to arrange your schedule around
your exam date. If required, students may request a two month extension prior to expiration
of their online course. A maximum of one (1) extension request may be granted. Extension
fees may apply. Please be sure to review our Licensing Course Policies for details.
Once you have completed your program, you will have access to the exam registration link
found on the last slide of your online course (end of module 11). Use this link to access your
province’s registration page. Follow the steps provided to finalize a date. Please allow up to 2
business days for the Exams Department to reply to your booking request. Note: A $75 exam
fee applies to individual bookings.

Exams must be written in person at one of our approved test centres. Although space is
limited, we try to accommodate our students’ booking requests as best we can. Please note
that we currently do not have exam sittings available on weekends, and at least 1 weeks’
notice is required to finalize an exam date. For individual sittings and exam sessions that
include a morning prep, the exam fee must be paid for in addition to providing the Exams
Department with your preferred date and time, in order to finalize a booking. Once
arranged, we will send to you confirmation details via the email provided.

Your exam PASS/FAIL status will be emailed to you within one week of us receiving your
completed exam (exact marks are not released). Should you be unsuccessful on your first
attempt, you may schedule an exam re-write. Regulators have indicated that students
may re-write their final exam once.
