ABSTRACT

The study was conducted to determine if Bani (Pongamia Pinnata Linn) and Mango

(Mangifera Indica) liniment is acceptable in the community in terms of its effectiveness.

The study made use of five (5) treatments in three (3) replicates: Treatment 0: placebo,

Treatment 1: 100 ml of Bani (Pongamia Pinnata Linn) and 0 ml of Mango (Mangifera Indica),

Treatment 2: 0 ml of Bani (Pongamia Pinnata Linn) and 100 ml of Mango (Mangifera Indica),

Treatment 3: 50 ml of Bani (Pongamia Pinnata Linn) and 50 ml of Mango (Mangifera Indica),

Treatment 4: NH Oil (commercial).

Five (5) respondents composed of teachers were randomly selected. Stratified random

sampling was utilized in getting the samples. Each group consisted of 5 samples. The Likert

Scale was used in gathering the data. The data gathered were subjected to average mean rank and

Friedman Test to test the difference at 0.05 level of significance.

Based on the results of the study, the following conclusions were made; Treatment 3 is

the best treatment in terms of its effectiveness. There is a significant difference between the five

treatments in terms of effectiveness. Bani (Pongamia Pinnata Linn) and Mango (Mangifera

Indica) liniment is comparable with the commercial one in terms acceptability of effectiveness

and nutritional value. Therefore, Bani (Pongamia Pinnata Linn) and Mango (Mangifera Indica)

can be made as liniment.
