The author chose to argue in favor of vaccinations. While some research has found a potential link between the MMR vaccine and autism, the evidence for a link is weak and there are other explanations for autism. The risks of not vaccinating outweigh the very low potential risks of autism from vaccination. The author found evidence from researching articles on the MMR vaccine and its link to autism.

I chose my argument side in favour of vaccinations. Vaccinations are definitely essential shots that can potentially save a life, some may fear it but nevertheless it’s vital as a preventative method for many health risks, in this case, MMR. There has been some research found that the MMR vaccine may be linked to autism, but the link is not strong as it dives into other explanations regarding effectiveness of that vaccine and how much risk it really brings to having autism. In my opinion, I would still engage vaccinations because it may have some link, but the percentage is very low.
