When Introducing Los Banos to tourists, they had to explain that Los Banos is
from a Spanish word “baño” used with “los” means many bathtubs. Which correlates
that Los Banos is known for it’s rejuvenating hot springs. But Los Banos is not only
about hot springs but there are other interesting stuff that you need to know more
about Los Banos.

The locals usually tend to shortcut words. They call Los Banos as “ELBI” most
of the times. There are other 5 things that can be seen in Los Banos. They have the
famous Collette’s Buko Pie, the famous University of the Philippines where they said
that Rizal also usually visits the campus just for fun. When talking about Los Banos,
they usually look for the mystic mountain of Mt. Maria Makiling. You can tell when
you get to Calamba. It looks like a reclining sexy maiden. Her head, breasts, legs are
so obvious but it actually depends on the weather towards SLEX. You can actually go
up to the mountain using a bus. There is actually a school that is established on top
of the mountain where students showcase their talents for arts. They should’ve used
the school to promote Los Banos in order for them to be known more and the city as
well.

Los Banos is actually near Laguna de Bay. Laguna is a Spanish word also for lake.
While Bay is actually the original capital of the province, so calling it Laguna Lake is
kind of redundant. Laguna de Bay is the largest lake in the Philippines. It was one of
the important mode of transportation during the Spanish and American period. But
as we know of, the Bay offers tours to give an experience for the tourist how
fishermen’s rides the Bangka.

To sum it all up, Los Banos has a lot to cater for the tourist. Although their city is not
that popular enough for tourist since they don’t use their sources properly. What
our group can do is to innovate more infrastructures to make a recreational activity
in order to be more in the trend and for them to cater something unique for Los
Banos.
