Arena Fan Service - Quick Service Attendant

Members of Canucks Sports & Entertainment’s Arena Fan Service team will provide a unique
service experience to concourse guests at Rogers Arena, serving food and beverages during
events. We are currently recruiting for the following Fan Service roles:
● Quick Service Attendant: Quick Service Attendants provide food and beer service to
guests of Rogers Arena. They work on the concourse during Canucks games,
concerts, and any other various events. Hourly rate for Quick Service Attendants will
be $17.13/hour for the 2019/2020 Season
● In-Seat Server: In-Seat Servers provide premium level food and beer service to our in-
bowl club section guests during a busy game-time environment.
● In-Seat Runner: In-Seat Runners run food and beverages to guests in our Club Seat
Sections in between game time action.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
● Must be at least 19 years of age
● Must be able to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays with a start time of
approximately 5:30pm
● Must be able to safely lift up to 25 lbs
● Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching,
and bending for long periods of time
● Have an incredible ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
while maintaining a first-in-class hospitality and food and beverage experience
● Experience in high paced food retail would be an asset
● Valid Serving it Right Certificate
● If you are a non-Canadian resident, you must hold a valid work permit that expires no
earlier than April 2020

Title of Position: Permanent Full-Time Optometrist (OD)
We are a well-established, growing, multi-location private practice looking to hire a
permanent full-time Optometrist (OD) for our THREE locations, Burnaby, Squamish, and
Prince Rupert.
We are looking for an optometrist interested in practicing the full scope of optometry. Our
practice emphasizes ocular disease, dispensing glasses & contact lenses, dry eye
management, myopia prevention therapies, glaucoma management, in particular. Our doctors
are supported by our well-trained and talented technicians as well as state-of-the-art
instrumentation and equipment. Due to high volume of ocular disease and distance of over
1.5hrs drive to nearest ophthalmology having experience in co-managing with
Ophthalmology and our supportive primary care providers would be an extreme benefit. An
ideal candidate will be residency trained in ocular disease.
It is important that you display excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and
presentation skills.
Skill Requirements:
● Minimum of more than 1 year of work experience required, with emphasis on ocular
disease management a plus.
● Resident trained in pathology preferred
● Doctor of Optometry degree in good standing
● Licensed with College of Optometrist of BC
● Other foreign language fluency is a plus.
Job Duties:
● Provide comprehensive eye exams and office visits as needed.
● Provide contact lens exams and contact lens follow up visits as needed.
● Provide pre- and post-operative examinations for cataract surgery.
● Experience in co-managing with Ophthalmology is a huge plus.
● Working together with the ophthalmologist to achieve the best possible outcome for
all patients.
● Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures involved in treatment
and management of ocular or other diseases or conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma
and macular degeneration.
● Developing positive optometrist-patient relationships.
● Educating patients regarding their treatment options.
● Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
● A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
This position is ideal for an OD who desires to help grow the practice, and has an interest in
potential partnership.

The Quality Control Associate

The Quality Control Associate’s main role is to oversee the laboratory quality control testing
of incoming, in-process, stability, and final drug products, as well as the environmental
monitoring program of the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Provides oversight and manages the interface of any contracted laboratories and
ensures that these are working to company standards
● Ensures timely testing and result approval/rejection
● Ensuring appropriate sample collection and testing
● Support of cGMP operations, including technical review of change control
documentation and reports, deviations, OOS and other manufacturing and laboratory
investigations
● Ensures timely inspection, testing, and disposition of QC samples; including raw
materials, packaging components, finished products, and R&D materials
● Provides assistance in resolving technical problems, process deviations, quality
investigations, and corrective actions
● Ensures that the required initial and continuing training of the QC department is
performed.
● Works closely with other departments to understand production priorities and adjust
lab priorities as needed
● Ongoing assessment of current lab operations with an eye towards continuous
improvement
● Assists in data collection and analysis of QC metrics
● Generates or revises controlled documents such as SOPs and data forms
Qualifications
● Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific/Technical field
● 3+ years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or related industry with 2
years supervisory experience in a QC laboratory
● Requires extreme adeptness in attention to detail/follow up
● Practical knowledge of at least one ERP application is an asset
● Experience in developing and delivering training
● Problem-solving and decision-making skills
● Computer proficiency including LIMS and MS Office
● Excellent communication and organizational skills
● Excellent interpersonal skills (dynamic, strong relationship builder and influencer)
● Proficient in English (Proficient or functional in French is considered an asset)
