Conceptual Framework Reflection

LEARNER DEVELOPMENT
The standard for this states; “The masters candidate un-
derstands how learners grow and develop, recognizing
that patterns of learning and development vary individu-
ally within and across the cognitive linguistic, social,
emotional, and physical area, and designs and imple-
ments developmentally appropriate and challenging
learning experiences”. I felt this class truly allowed me to
identify various philosophical concepts and associate
them with educational views. I was also able to make
connections between a philosophy of life and a philoso-
phy of education.

LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
One part of this class I enjoyed the most was the feeling
that there was no “right” or “wrong” answer. Students
were encouraged to interpret the information on their
own, and create our own philosophy.

EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
APPLICATION OF CONTENT
Educational Philosophy allowed me to delve into my own
professional/educational philosophy. Knowing the histo-

ry and evolution of philosophy gave me better insight to
my own personal educational views.
