Evidencia 2: Workshop “Products and services”

La lectura es una de las habilidades más utilizadas en el mundo, pero a la vez es la


menos motivante, dado que en ocasiones hay textos muy extensos y con vocabulario
complejo que dificulta su comprensión y le resta interés al texto; afortunadamente
existen nuevos métodos que facilitan obtener la información necesaria y con ello
aumentar el léxico personal.

En este orden de ideas y con la finalidad de cumplir con el propósito de esta evidencia,
consulte el material complementario denominado Integration of products and
services.

Luego de esta consulta, resuelva el siguiente taller sobre comprensión lectora:

1. Find the main idea of the first page and write it in a paragraph.

The various changes in the modern economy since its inception, the growth and
emergence of companies

2. Write a summary of ten lines from the text.

There are three factors that combine to reshape the economy. First the digital
revolution. Second, international competition. Third, cultural and sculptural trends.
The distinction between the markets of products and services is fictitious: the creation
of value and innovation take place more and more at its intersection. Business-related
services are often decisive in making products attractive to the consumer.
Regarding the economy depending on the sector to which it belongs, since there is an
emblematic initiative with European missions referring to the union markets.

3. Choose a paragraph and translate it with your own words.

With the blurred line between goods and services, international and national,
online and offline, a completely new economic paradigm is emerging, driven by
three transformative developments.
Con la línea borrosa entre bienes y servicios, internacional y nacional, en línea y
fuera de línea, está emergiendo un nuevo paradigma económico completamente
nuevo, impulsado por tres desarrollos transformadores.
4. Choose ten words from the text and organize them alphabetically. Look for the
meaning of each word.

Balance: A balance sheet is a statement of the financial position of a business that


lists the assets, liabilities and owner's equity at a particular point in time.
Digital: Digital describes electronic technology that generates, stores, and processes
data in terms of two states: positive and non-positive.
Economic: Is the social science that studies the production, distribution, and
consumption of goods and services. Economics focuses on the behaviour and
interactions of economic agents and how economies work
Energy: Physicists, who are scientists who study force, motion and energy, say that
energy is the ability to do work, and work is moving something against a force, like
gravity.
Investment: the action or process of investing money for profit.
Little: small in size, amount, or degree (often used to convey an appealing
diminutiveness or express an affectionate or condescending attitude).
Mobile: able to move or be moved freely or easily.
Relating to mobile phones, handheld computers, and similar technology
Product: A product is the item offered for sale. A product can be a service or an item.
It can be physical or in virtual or cyber form. Every product is made at a cost and
each is sold at a price.
Revolution: A revolution is a successful attempt by a large group of people to change
the political system of their country by force.
Work: activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose
or result.

5. Match the term with the corresponding meaning.
