country by 2045. How can we combat, prevent, and/or reduce prejudice,
discrimination and violence in a new, more diverse America?”

DEADLINE—OCTOBER 11, 2019

FINALIST: Will be invited to our annual Achievement Week Banquet to be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019.
At that particular time the actual winners will be announced.

RULES: This contest is open to all college bound, high school seniors. The essay must be original neither previ-
ously published nor secured by copyright The essay must be between 700 -750 words in length. Thus, three type -
written, double-spaced copies must be submitted. Also place a current phone number and email address to your
writing. The manuscript must be emailed as a Microsoft Word document or postmarked via USPS, no later than
midnight October 11, 2019.

AWARDS: Scholarship will be submitted to each winner, upon written verification from an institution of higher
education that the individual has enrolled. Actual enrollment (not just acceptance) is required. Awards must be
claimed within 18 months after the announcement date to be valid. Top essays will be submitted to the Omega
Psi Phi International Headquarters for a chance to secure an additional scholarship.
