Final Grading - Landscape Contractor to provide labour, transport, machinery and
everything necessary to level, grade and shape suitable soil material to form the
desired final grade levels included moundings as instructed by L.A. Landscape
Contractor to ensure proper earth grading & fall to allow water runoff to discharge
points and avoid water ponding at all areas. Works to include fine shaping, touch
up, cutting, back filling, trimming etc and all necessary operations to achieve final
finish levels. (± 100 mm of existing grade levels).

Notes:-
i This Bill is to be read in conjunction with Drawings, Specifications, Preliminaries

and Preambles attached.
ii The words "as described" where used in this Bill shall

mean as described in the above documents.
iii The quantities given in this Bill are PROVISIONAL and payment will be made
based on remeasurement of actual work executed
iv The contractor shall not entittle for any claims of loss of profit and/or expense
solely on the ground that the actual quantities differ from those under this bill
v Contractor is deemed to have allowed elsewhere in the tender amount items not
described in this Bill but appear in the Drawings.
vi The description in this Bill shall form an integral part of the Specifications. In
Case of discrepancy, difference or divergence between the Drawings and the
Specification, Contractor shall report to the Architect for decision.
vii Failure to bring to the Architect attention any such discrepancy, difference or
divergence before acceptance of award shall result in the same being resolved
at noadditional cost or time.

To supply, deliver and plant the following plant materials including excavation of
planting pits, carting off excess & dispose off site, handling, setting and planting
with a minimum of 50mm thk. coco fiber mulching and watering to ensure survival
as directed by the L.A. All plants supplied shall be well established in polybag
containers, healthy and proportionate with no top cutting & freshly root trenched
trees.
1.0 SOIL MIX

1.1 To supply and lay soil mixture comprising of 3 parts top soil, 2 parts coarse All sample to be taken
sand, 1 parts organic matter/manure and 1 kg of C.I.R.P per cubic meter or
other mix approved by L.A. including loading and unloading, mixing on site, filling
into excavated planting holes, lightly ramming and all other works in connection.
Media is to be well mixed before the planting works are carried out. The organic
matter is to be clean, well-decomposed, free from smell, debris, refuse or visible
fungus.
Note: The topsoil is to be sourced from "Contractors source" and to be

approved by L.A.

2.0 STAKING
2.1 Tripod Staking (for trees ≥ 75mm trunk dia & single trunk palms) no 163 1
To supply & install stakes for trees using 3 nos hardwood timber of 50mm x 50mm
x 2400mm length each. The stakes shall be equidistant around tree and firmly
driven into the ground (min 500mm in ground and 1900mm exposed) with 25mm
x 50mm hardwood timber staking support. The stake shall be tied neatly and
firmly. The point of contact between the trunk and staking shall be padded with
suitable material and secured with plastic coated tie from 3 different points of the
tripod stake to L.A approval as per Dwg no.: SB-DP-OSPN-B1703-AL-511.
2.2 Double stake (for trees 35mm - 75mm trunk dia) no 74 -

To supply & install stakes for trees using 2 nos. hardwood timber of 50mm x
50mm x 2400mm length each (500mm in ground and 1900 mm exposed) with 2
pieces of horizontal timber support of 25mm x 50mm each. The stakes shall be
installed neatly and firmly. The point of contact between the trunk and upper
horizontal support shall be padded with suitable material and secured with plastic
coated tie to L.A approval as per Dwg no.: SB-DP-OSPN-B1703-AL-511.
2.3 Single stake (for trees < 35mm trunk dia)

To supply & install stakes for trees using 1 nos. hardwood timber of 25mm x no - -
50mm x 2400mm length each (500mm in ground and 1900 mm exposed). The
stakes shall be installed neatly and firmly. The point of contact between the trunk
and upper horizontal support shall be padded with suitable material and secured

11.0 TURFING
11.1 Zoysia matrella (Closed Turfing) m2 5033 -
To supply and lay Zoysia matrella (99% purity), min sod size of 300mm x 600mm,
with min 20mm thk root & soil intact. Sods to be laid butt-joint.Rate to include min
50mm thk soil-sand mix (50% topsoil + 50% sand) bed levelled over the turfing area.
Prior to soil mix, the ground shall be graded with a minimum fall of 2% to the nearest
drain and or water discharge outlet to avoid water ponding. The joint between sod
has to be filled with suitable top dressing & compacted to achieve an even finish
level. The turf shall be maintained immediately upon being laid and shall remain
healthy & green throughout the contract period.
11.2 Zoysia matrella (Spot Turfing) m2 - Rate only - Rate only

To supply and lay Zoysia matrella (99% purity), min sod size of 75mm x 75mm with
min 20mm thk root & soil intact. The turf is to be laid in rows with the sods placed in
zig zag order. The gap between edge of sod to be not more than 75mm. Rate to
include min 50mm thk soil-sand mix (50% topsoil + 50% sand) to be laid and levelled
over the planting area. Prior to soil mix, the ground shall be graded with a minimum
fall of 2% to the nearest drain and or water discharge outlet to avoid water ponding.
The sods shall be applied with suitable top dressing where necessary & compacted
to achieve an even finish level. The turf shall be maintained immediately upon being
laid and shall remain healthy & green throughout the contract period.

To supply and lay 30mm thk. system drainage cell; including one layer of TS20 m2 - 150
geotextile; c/w 50mm thick wash sand bed filter; and all necessary associated works
to the satisfaction of Landscape Architect.
15.0 ARTIFICIAL TURFING (CONTROL ROOM'S ROOF)

i) To supply and install 25mm thk. artificial turf of 'Signature Turf' (Signature 25) or m2 120 -
approved equivalent. All pattern, colors, and design to L.A approval; including all
necessary associated works to the satisfactory of L.A
ii) To supply and install 30mm thk. drainage cell including one layer of geotextile m2 120 -
(TS20); c/w min. 50mm wash sand bed filter; and all necessary associated works to
the L.A. satisfaction.

A MAINTENANCE WORKS
To supply material, machinery, labour, transportation and other
necessary items to carry out the maintenance of all completed work mth 24
which includes but not limited to the items stated below.

Contractor to state the minimun number of competent, full time workers no. of full
stationed daily on site during working hours for the purpose of time
satisfactory maintenance of the completed works. workers
Unsatisfactory maintenance - It shall be the responsibility of the

Contractor to write in requesting for inspection at the end of every month
failing which he shall not be entitled to the maintenance claim for that
month. Maintenance claim due to the Contractor shall be deducted with
a recommended amount that L.A finds reasonable if the areas are found
to be unsatisfactorily maintained.
If the maintenance of any area is found to be grossly unsatisfactory, the

employer has the right to employ other parties to maintian/rectify/make
good such areas and all costs incurred shall be back-charged to the
contractor.
1.0 SOFTSCAPE WORKS
1.1 Watering - watering all plant materials and quantity of water applied at
all times shall be sufficient to penetrate to a minimum depth of 150mm at
a rate which allows saturation of the soil. Water to be provided by
contractor unless specifically stated otherwise. Frequency - daily or as
when necessary.
1.2 Weeding and Forking - keep all planting areas free from weeds and
undesirable vegetation & loosen the soil around the base by methods
and materials approved by the L.A Herbicides are prohibited. Frequency -
at least once a month or as and when necessary.
Pest and Disease Control - to treat plants found to be infected by any

disease or pest using the appropriate method/materials approved by the
1.3 L.A and take all necessary precaution/remedial action to contain the
spread of the infection to other plants. Frequency - regular monitoring,
treatment as & when necessary.
1.4 Pruning and Shaping - The amount of pruning shall be limited to the
minimum necessary to remove dead or injured twigs and branches and
or compensate for the loss of roots as a result of transplanting and or to
achieve the desired form & shape of the plant. Frequency - for shrubs, at
least once a month or as & when necessary. For trees, at least once in 3
months to shape & balance canopy.
1.5 Fertilizer Application - Application of commercial inorganic fertilizer

(Behn Mayer or approved equivalent) of a complete formula 15:15:15 for
greens, 12:12:17+2 for flowering plants or otherwise as specified by the
L.A at a rate recommended by the manufacturer. Fertilizer shall be
uniform in composition, dry and free flowing. This shall be rotated with
approved organic compost applied once every 3 months. Fertilizer
regime - fortnightly for Zoysia *turf, once a month for other plants -

1.6 Replacement of Plants - Dead/unhealthy/missing plants are to be

replaced with true to type and size or as specified by the L.A in the event
of non-availability of spec. The plant shall be replaced immediately or
latest within 1 month upon being instructed. Any trees replaced during
the last 2 months of DLP shall have the maintenance extended by
additional 3 months to ensure survival. Frequency - monthly inspection
and replacement as necessary.
1.7 Replacement of Rotational Plants -Seasonal plants and Orchid plants

are to be rotated for 6 times rotation as scheduled yearly.The plants shall
be replaced every two months with the plants specified. Contractor shall
counter proposed listed Seasonal and Orchid plants based on market
availbality and seasonal local events to LA's ad Client approval.
1.8 Staking & Guys - To inspect, replace, adjust all staking, padding & ties
to ensure proper and support for the tree without any injury to the trunk.
To ensure it is not a safety hazard (rusty nails, sharp pointed edges etc)
Frequency - at least once a month or as necessary.
1.9 Grass Cutting - To cut the turf by not more than one-third of the blade at
any one time and ensure no overcutting resulting in bare or brown
patches. Turf clipping shall be removed and disposed immediately.
Frequency - fortnightly for Zoysia, once a month for Axonopus* note: for
Property South only - fortnightly for Zoysia and Axonopus as well.
1.10 Rubbish Removal - All waste/rubbish arising shall be continuously and

promptly removed daily and disposed off site. All reasonable precaution
should be taken to avoid damage to existing structures, plants and
grass. Frequency - daily.
1.11 Vandalism/Damage - During the DLP, the Contractor is required to

replace any missing, dying or vandalized/damaged plants either by
human or animal to the original type and true to size at his own cost and
it is the Contractor's responsibility for the safe custody of all the trees,
shrubs and plants etc until it is handed over to the Employer after
maintenance period expires.
