A Sri Sai power looms industry was situated in somandepalli near to
Penukonda in Anantapur district. The vision of this business is to generate profits and supply sarees to customers or in to markets. This industry was owned by Y.Narashimulu. He was my friend’s father.
In this business he invested capital of Rs.10 lakhs. Here he was
manufacturing silk sarees. For manufacturing sarees he wants raw materials. He was purchasing raw materials from Dharmavaram and Bangalore. He was producing two or three sarees by using power looms in a day. He was selling saress at a cost of Rs.3500 each to retailers and Rs.3200 each to wholesalers. On one saree he will get Rs.1000 profit.
When he started this business he faced some challenges. By using
power looms it may cause danger to health. He overcomes from this challenge by taking some health precautions. Another challenge is how to supply in the market or to customers. He overcomes from this challenge by producing good quality sarees.
The supporting factor in this business is supply of raw materials.
Because when the raw materials are supplied at right time then manufacturer can produce sarees at right time and supply to market. In market there are several power looms that are producing sarees. If he produces same design sarees which are in the market he may get loss. So he decided to produce sarees with different designs. Then the customers will easily attract to sarees which he was producing.
The future prospect of this business is to supply sarees to
shopping malls. Now they are supplying only to small markets. So he decided to develop his industry by supplying sarees to shopping malls.
He started this business in 2010. At starting time he faced some
difficulties like supplying and how to promote his business. Now he sustained successfully in the market. The lesson from this business story is in any business we may face difficulties. So we always try to overcome from difficulties and never step back and keep move on. Another one is a business person must have lot of patience.
