I. DATE AND PLACE:

II. COMPETITION VENUE:

Competition Venue: WFP-CAR Regional Training Center

III. COMPETITION EVENTS IN THE CARAA WILL BE THE MINUS ONE KILOGRAM WEIGHT
REDUCTION SYSTEM based on the CARAA 2017 Management Guidelines.

Group A – Who were born between January 01, 1999 to December 31, 2001.
Weight Category Male: 47kg; 51kg; 55kg
Female: 47kg; 51kg
Group B – Who were born between January 01, 2002 to December 31, 2004.
Weight Category Male: 41kg; 44kg; 47kg
Female: 41kg; 44kg
IV. PARTICIPANTS:
Only Secondary School Students and pass the CARAA Screening procedure.
Coaches, Co-Coach, Trainers must be part of the delegation and placed in the gallery

V. PARTICIPATION METHODS MUST BE BASED IN THE PALARONG PAMBANSA STANDARDS

VI. COMPETITION METHODS:
i. The Competition shall be individual competition.
ii. Knockout system will be adopted.
iii. Single round-robin will be adapted if number of competitors will be three 3.
iv. The Competition will be conducted in accordance with the Rules of International
Wushu Federation (IWUF) and ground rules adopted from the CARAA management.
v. NO head kick and / or players intension to kick the head.
vi. NO successive/continuous punches.
vii. The Competition time 1 minute and 30 seconds with 1 minute interval for each
round.
viii. A winner will be declared based the IWUF rule book chapter 5 winning and placing.
ix. Interpretation on rules of IWUF in English (American and British) is mandated, if
there is a conflict on the comprehension of the rules the Chinese context will prevail.
x. In the solidarity meeting addendum of ground rules will be accepted.
xi. The majority color system will be used and the judges score card will not be used.

VII. COSTUME AND EQUIPMENT :

i. Competitors shall wear the proper costume and protective gears in compliance with
the rules, color of the fabrique / cloth must be similar with the armor, team attire is
accepted
ii. Mandatory things that an athlete must provide and must be personal, Gum shield
(Mouth piece), hand-wrap 3meters in length must be provided by competitors
themselves.

VIII. PLACING OF AWARDS:

 Top three (3) men and women will be awarded respectively with Medals and Certificates,
gold, silver, two bronze.

IX. ENTRIES:
i. Final Entry with the events and names of competitors must reach the Tournament
Manager during the solidarity meeting
X. CONTACT PERSON:
Tournament Manager and Assistant Tournament Manager

XI. TECHNICAL MATTERS:

Technical Meeting of coaches will be on the solidarity meeting.

XII. OTHER MATTERS:

i. Each team shall abide by the Rules of DepEd and the Organizing Committee.
ii. Those who will violate the Rules and regulation will be dealt with according to the
regulation of DepEd: (such as: Throwing of protective gears, uttering bad words,
extreme and violent reactions, etc.) together with the attitude of the team members,
coaches, team officials and audience.
iii. Teams may bring video cameras for the documentation of the bout(s), but it will not be
accepted as basis for complaints.
iv. The tournament officials will check and penalize behavioral outrage of players, team
officials, team coaches and members and can be thrown out from the venue.
v. Protest procedure will be based on the IWUF rule book and DepEd / CARAA 2017
Guidelines.
