(PDCABS) SUB-CONGESSIONAL ATHLETIC MEET

MUNICIPALITY OF DAUIS
SEPTEMBER 13-14, 2019

TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT FORMAT AND GROUND RULES

I. EVENT: SINGLES
A. Elementary Boys and Girls
B. Secondary Boys and Girls
ENTRIES: 4 Boys and 4 Girls - both in the secondary/elementary levels
TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
Single Event
A. A coach shall designate 4 players in the entry form with player A, B, C and D.
B. 1.Double elimination format will be used for the elimination round.
2. Seeded/bracketed Single round robin will be used for the elimination round.
C. 1. Top player in each bracket will advance to the next round with single elimination format.
2. Top player in each bracket will advance to the next round with single round robin format.
D. All matches will be played in best-of-______ game format.
IV. RANKING: The results of the SUB-CONGESSIONAL ATHLETIC MEET for all levels and
genders shall be the basis in the ranking and seeding of teams/players.
V. SELECTION PROCESS
A. Top players of every bracket A, B, C and D will qualify for the next round and will play with
single elimination.
B. A coach with the most number of qualified players will automatically be the winning coach. In
case of tie, rank of every qualified player will be considered. In case of double tie, adopt the rule
Win over the other, if triple tie, adopt the quotient system and if case triple tie occur in the
quotient system a) play-off or b) points acquired during the match system.
VI. TOURNAMENT SESSION
VENUE: Dauis Central Elementary School
TIME: _______________________
a. After the first match in the morning and the first match in the afternoon, all remaining
matches will be played in succession.
b. Defaulting Time is ___ minutes for the first scheduled matches in the morning and first match
in the afternoon.
VIl. INTERNATIONAL TABLE TENNIS FEDERATION (ITTF)
1. The ITTF rules and regulations shall govern the conduct of the competition unless modified
and superseded by ground rules agreed by all coaches and all technical officials during the
solidarity meeting and approved by the technical committees.
2. Other unforeseen occurrence which is not covered by the ITTF rules shall be dealt with by
the TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE where decisions will be final.
VII. Protest must be submitted to the Tournament Manager in writing within 30 minutes after the
match is through, duly signed by the coach and the delegation head.
