EDUCATION:
We take knowledge of our subjects (Zoology, Botany, Math, Chemistry,Physics,and Computer) by
internet. We can receive all question paper at home.

BUSINESS:
Computer is use in various type of business. This is use in bank and many offices. We can make
purchase and sales order by computer.
This is use in simulation.Simulation means we make copy of vehicle and big machine before
manufacturing.

SCIENCE:
It is use in space science for testing and manufacturing in rocket, artificial satellite. We can
receive information about in rain, stormed and temperature.

DEFENCE:
It is use in defence for known about in aircraft, ships of enemy by computer.

ENTERTAINMENT:
We should have one computer with speaker. We can see movies on the computer. We can sing
songs by this.

HEALTH:
Computer is use in the health for tasting many diseases.

COMMUNICATION:
It is use mostly in this. We can send any information from one computer to another computer.
This is called communication. Computer uses everywhere such as school, railway, airlines, post
office etc.

1. ANALOG:

Data is found in the form of analog signal in analog computer. These signals are
continuously change.

2. DIGITAL :

Data is found in the two forms that is low position (0), high position (1).This data is called
binary data. These computers use in office, home, institute etc.

1. MICRO COMPUTER:

Micro computer is single user. It has only 5 mm silicon chip microprocessor. Micro
computer is small,lightweight.It spends little power.

2. DESKTOP COMPUTER:

This computer is place on only one table.This computer runs by power. This is not movable.

Ex. PC (Personal Computer).

3. PORTABLE COMPUTER:

This computer is movable. We can use this in bus during on travel.It has low space Ex.
Laptop, Pocket Pc.

4. MINI COMPUTER:

This computer is powerful than micro computer processing speed storage capacity is much
than microcomputers more than one user can work on this. These are use in railways,
airlines, bank,andstock exchange.

5. SUPER COMPUTER:

This is powerful in all type of computer. These are big in size and structure. These have
processing speed, storage capacity 1000 times than a simple computer .It is use in,
geology, weather forecasting.

6. HYBRID COMPUTER:

This computer has features of both computers. This can convert analog data to digital and
digital data analog.

HARDWARE:

The physical components of the computer are called hardware. We can touch by hand,
watch by eyes these parts. Ex. Mouse, Keyboard, CPU, Monitor, Printer etc.

There are two types of hardware device

II. OUTPUT DEVICE

INPUT DEVICE:
We give instruction to perform for CPU such device is known as input device.
THESE DEVICE ARE FOLLOWING TYPE:-

KEYBOARD:
We give data for CPU by keyboard. We can give all type of data by this. There are two type
of keyboard. First is normal keyboard which have 104 keys. Second is multimedia keyboard
which have 128 keys. It has following type of keys:
A. Alphabetical keys a, b, c……..z.

B. Numerical keys 0,1,2,3,4,…..9

C. Control key ←↑→↓

D. Function keys F1 to F12

E. Shift key It is use for capital letter.

F. Back space key Delete in back side.

G. Enter key Inputting data and

Go to next line.

MOUSE:
It is also input device. It is use for select any icon and run any program.

SCANNER:
Scanner scans paper media and transmit computer. Scan means accept data. Data can be
form in picture, photo, chart, letter etc.

OUTPUT DEVICE:

We get data after processing by output device.

MONITOR:
It is also called VDU (visual display unit). Picture is found in the form of dotes which known

as pixels. CRT (cathode rays tube), TFT (thin film transistor) and LCD (liquid crystal
display)technology are found in monitor. It’s mechanism like television.

SPEAKERS:
Computer is process in audio sound and gives us output by speakers. Speakers use
external speaker in computer. It has capacity in watts.

PRINTER:
Printer is an output device which gives for user hardcopy of data. Printer send output data
from computer to user. It is use in bank, telephone, electricity board and reservation etc.

STORAGE

Bits is the small unit of storage data, it’s the short form of binary + digit = bits.

a. RAM: RAM stands for random access memory. It has data temporary so this is volatile
memory. When we shut down computer than data is refresh. It is very fast in speed. Small
in size and expensive.

b. ROM: ROM stands for read only memory. It has data permanently so it is non-volatile
memory. If computer is off than data will be save. We can read only, we cannot change in
this.

is known as software.

Ex- DOS, WINDOW, LINUX, UNIX.

Interface) Operating System. This is made by Microsoft Company.

DESKTOP:

After booting a screen appear on the monitor that is called desktop. This includes Icon and
Taskbar such as My Computer, My Document, Recycle Bin, and Network Place, Internet Explorer.

Document:
This is display all documents information of any computer.
Computer:
Thisis display by a small picture of computer on the desktop. This have whole computer
information.
Network:
This is display about computer network.
Recycle Bin:
This is display by a dust bin picture. Any deleted file and folder appeared into this.
Control panel:
This is used to computer software and hardware settings.

TASKBAR:

This is found on bottom on the desktop. This have start button on the left side and clock on right
side on the taskbar.
Right click on the Taskbar→ open a dialog box →click on properties→ Open Taskbar and Start
Menu Properties→ change option start and taskbar.

CHANGING DISPLAY PROPERTIES:

Right click on the desktop→ open a dialog box→ click on Personalize→ open display properties
window→ Change Theme, Desktop, Screensaver, and Mouse Pointer & Desktop Icon.

START BUTTON

Shutdown: We can use this option to Shutdown, sleep, Restart, Lock, Log Off, Switch User
Computer.

Help and support:


We can take help about computer configuration & Computer window Program help.
Search:
We can run any program & search any file or folder.
All Programs:
This option has many programs.

FILE & FOLDERS

1. Create a folder on the desktop:


Right click on the desktop→ Click New options → Click onFolder→ give a Name.

2. Save a file or Data on desktop folder:


Open Notepad→ Type Text →Goto File menu& Click Save option→ Select Desktop Folder→ Give
File name & save file.

3. For move a file:


We use only selectCut any file and Paste other folder.

4. Rename file or folder:


Right click on file or folder →click Rename option →give name file or folder.

5. Delete a file or folder:


Right click on file or folder →click on Delete option →give amassage that you want to remove
this→ Y/N →set Y.
6. Restore a file or folder:
Go to recycle bin →select file or folder →right click on this →open a box→ click restore →file or
folder arrange on particular location.

7. Hiding any file or folder:


Right click on the file or folder →open a box →click property folder option →tools →select hidden
/show →view →select do not any file or folder.
8. Unhide any file or folder:
We go to organizeselect Folder and Search Option and clickviewand select Show/hidden file.
9. Disk clean up:
This is a system tool which cleans temporary files. Right click on the drive→ open a box →select
disk clean up →properties.

10. Disk defragment:


This tool arranges all scattered file in the hard disk, CPU speed increase →go to accessories
→system tool →Disk Defragment.
