    Dear Colleagues,

     I’ve noticed that on a few occasions the wording of the above tests have been used
    with the incorrect test method.

     For Micro Carbon Residue the correct method is ASTM D4530 or IP 398

     For Conradson Carbon Residue the correct method is ASTM D189 or IP 13

     Although similar results are obtained these are separate test methods and should be
    stated as such.
