1. DATA
Basically, this is the easiest part to write because it is a straightforward statement of exactly what your data.
This section is not for interpreting the data in any way. You should only narrate your findings without trying
to analyze them, other than to provide a link to the discussion section. Perhaps the best way to use the
results section is to show the most important information you obtained. This may include but not limited
to the experimental values you obtained, averages, percentage errors and differences, among others. This
section should be written in one paragraph and should contain 50 to 100 words only.

2. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Discussion is the most important part of your report, because here, you show that you understand the
experiment beyond the simple level of completing it. Explain. Analyse. Interpret. Some people like to think
of this as the “subjective” part of the report. By that, they mean this is what is not readily observable. This
part of the laboratory focuses on how you understand the experiment. This may be done by answering
these questions: “What is the significance or meaning of the results?” and/or “What do the results indicate
clearly?”. Also, find logical explanations for problems in the data and explain what you know with
certainty based on your results which will help you draw conclusions. In other words, in discussing the
results, you should not only analyze the results, but also discuss the implications of those results. Moreover,
pay attention to the errors that existed in the experiment, both where they originated and what their
significance is for interpreting the reliability of conclusions. One important way to present numerical results
is to show them in graphs. This section should be written in one paragraph and should contain 150 to 250
words only.

3. CONCLUSION
If the "Results and Discussion" section has discussed the results individually, the "Conclusion" section
discusses the results in the context of the entire experiment. Usually, the objectives mentioned in the
laboratory manual are examined to determine whether the experiment succeeded. This section should be
written in one paragraph and should contain 25 to 50 words only.
