Aunty Marica’s Mini Mart is a grocery store. It was built in 2005 by Marcia Johns in Siloah St. Elizabeth.

Marcia’s grocery store provides various food and canned items to the small community. She can be
contacted via email at marciamjohns@gmail.com. Marcia utilizes a manual system to generate the cost
of each item after tax. In this system, Marcia utilizes a pen, a cheap calculator and a piece of paper.

Customers find the current billing system to be time consuming as they have to stand and wait for her to
calculate the total cost of their items when really, they just want to pay for their item and leave.
Marcia’s calculations are currently done with the aid of cheap calculator and due to both systematic and
random errors, miscalculations often times result. This sometimes causes customers to be over or
undercharged which can cause conflict.

A program will be created that stores the name of each, the price for each item, the current G.C.T rate
and the discount rate. The program should generate the total cost of the items after tax. Marcia should
then be able to input the name of the ite
