RESEARCH HYPOTHESIS

This research was intended to test the hypothesis that without a certain degree of heritage

awareness and acceptance among tourists and community residents, the process of heritage recognition

and security can not succeed. Similarly, a widespread recognition of the importance of keeping a

desirable history from disappearing is an integral part of the foundation for implementing public

heritage policies.

Nevertheless, in the developed parts of the world, the past is preserved and preserved for a

variety of reasons, including tourism, esthetic value, enhancing the sense of place, educational and

scientific purposes of a city, and establishing living communities. Given the value of heritage, there has

not been much research on heritage awareness among residents of the city, who are the ultimate

guardians of the heritage product.

Therefore, heritage awareness campaigns are not unusual as a way to gain community support

to protect the heritage of a site. Heritage awareness is a critical factor, because if they are aware,

residents and other users will be more optimistic about preserving heritage. Tangible ties to our history

are the ways people come into contact with the past today. Heritage buildings are also widely

recognized as important sites linking a new generation with an older generation and as places of

education and citizenship. Revitalizing the houses and the environment of old neighborhoods means the

quality of life is enhanced and the integrity of the city is preserved.
