ROLE OVERVIEW: CLIENT MANAGER


Creative thinking, strong presentation skills, and rock-solid implementation are the keys to
success for the role of Client Manager at Kaimera. A Client Manager should produce work
that is held up as ‘best in class’ both within the agency and industry-wide.

Client Managers create media strategy and implementation recommendations across all
media channels for their clients. This role requires skills in creativity, media planning, media
marketplace and tools and market dynamics, working within these to ensure great results for
clients.

The Client Manager is responsible for directly managing any Planners and Coordinators
within the client team in addition to managing client relationships, through regular
presentations, WIPs, and adherence to financial processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Produces high level media strategy recommendations on selected briefs, working


collaboratively on other strategy projects with Team Director.
• Develops media implementation responses on all relevant client briefs.
This includes:
o Covering the appropriate media mix, timing, big ideas, budget split, metrics, R&F
goals, TARP / impressions levels for all campaigns.
o Accurately briefing media partners.
• Accountable for client media splits/spends being in accordance with agreed parameters.

• Include competitive insights into any recommendation.
• Sound knowledge of all research / planning tools.
• Work with creative and media buying teams to ensure exciting media opportunities are
investigated and integrated.
• Sources and provides insights and learnings on post campaign analysis in conjunction
with the trading team.
• Assist in training of Co-ordinators / Planners in planning fundamentals and creative
thinking.
• Manage day to day tasks of Co-ordinators / Planners.
• Contributes to competitive analysis as required with implications/recommendations and
presents these findings back to clients.
• Diligently performs regular reconciliations on campaign plan media spends with buying
team.
• Understands how client/agency contractual agreements may impact a campaign and
can contribute to forecasting and other important financial tasks.
• Communication across the group including key input to WIP meetings, writing contact
reports from client meetings and generally ensuring the team are aware of the status and
progress on the client portfolio.
• Ensures Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met and maintained.
• Provide and lead written briefs to Trading and Digital media teams at implementation
kick-off stage.
• Contribute to internal agency activities. This includes regular internal presentations and
WIP sessions.
• Work with Directors to develop awards submissions on campaigns.
• Lives the Kaimera values and ensure this filters through to and is demonstrated to other
team members.

Client Management Responsibilities:

• Campaign owner and primary point of daily contact for client, in regular contact with the
client / creative agency at the appropriate levels.
• Committed to maintaining and developing positive client relationships.
• Displays complete ownership of all campaigns from start to finish, including managing 3rd
party buying agency relationships when required. This includes monitoring all client
deliverables are being produced in a timely way and up to a high standard: final buy
presentations, reporting, campaign post analysis etc.
• Works with Client Director to resolve any issues that may arise during the campaign
period.

Required skills:
• Strong business communications skills; including the ability to communicate effectively
via email, phone and in person.
• Strong prioritisation and organisational skills.

• Understand & respect information sharing boundaries with media partners.
• Strong presentation development skills to articulate campaign implementation
recommendations.

• Articulate both in person and via other forms of communication.
• Solid understanding of all media channels and how they impact each other.

Required Experience with Tools and Systems:


Competent user across all core media planning systems, including:

• SMD/BCC
• Roy Morgan
• AQX Fusion
• Mediawise
• Etam
• Sound knowledge of all Microsoft Office Systems; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
