Greetings!

The undersigned are second-year Marine Transportation students of this institution. We

are currently writing our thesis as part of the academic requirement in English 4 –
Research Report Writing. Our thesis is titled, “Comparative Analysis on the Academic
Excellence of the Top Maritime Schools in the Philippines.”

The aim of this paper is to compare how the scholar cadets progressed with their
academic performance against the other top maritime schools in the country and at the
same time, address the areas particularly on the low points on their major subjects.

In this light, the undersigned would like to ask permission from your end to allow us to
have a softcopy of the grades of the scholar cadets in their major subjects from different
schools, namely University of Cebu, John V. Lacson Foundation, and DMMA College of
Southern Philippines for the year 2010 up to present, whichever is available. Rest assured
that the data collected will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
