INTRODUCTION OF GUEST SPEAKER

MRS. LYDIA TAGALICUD

Success comes to those who dare and act. Being successful is not
an overnight miracle but a series of struggles and victories, of
determination, of hard work, and of faith.

Tonight, we are indeed very lucky to have someone who

embodies a successful life. She is a woman OF VIRTUE AND
SIMPLICITY. Let us then know more about her as we unveil some of
her life’s most inspiring and motivating experiences. Allow me to use
the letters of her name in getting to know more about her.

L- Lovely Blessing
On a lucky day of March 18, 1950, the 9th of the 12 children of
Mr. Abundio Castillo and Mrs. Rafaela Villa Castillo, was born in this
wonderful world. They name her Lydia, a Greek name which means “a
beautiful one” or a “noble one”. They were full of hopes and dreams
for this blessing. As she grew, they filled her with love, affection, care,
proper guidance, and they made sure that she was instilled with
proper values and characters essential for her whole development as
a child. Indeed, she became a lovely blessing in their family.

Y- Young Achiever
Thirsty of quenching more knowledge and skills, she started her
formal education in Tanauan Elem. School. At a young age, she
learned to value the importance of education so she strived hard in
her academic endeavor. As a result, she graduated Salutatorian of
their batch in the year 1962. After her graduation, she entered the
gates of Our Lady of Fatima Academy for her secondary education.
The new learning environment challenged her but she was able to
hurdle the difficulties and was able to graduate as the Class
Salutatorian of their Batch in the year 1966.
Filled with determination and eagerness to learn, she entered
the portals of Phil. Women’s University and enrolled with the degree
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. As usual, she astounded every
challenge she encountered. As a matter of fact, she became the
President of the Chemistry department during their stay in the said
institution. She finished her tertiary education with flying colors in the
year 1971.

D- Diligent and Dedicated Career Woman

Her professional career has been of sterling quality. She made
sure that diligence and dedication were present in all her endeavors.
In 1972-1975, she was employed as a chemist at the Suyosa Corp-
Rubber Company. After that, she worked in Interphil Laboratories as a
chemist also from 1976-1985. In 1988, she to the Dreamland, USA and
worked in New York and California but after a year, she decided to
come back in our own land. She took the Real Estate Brokers Licensure
and successfully passed it. Thgis gave her the qualification to become
a licensed Real Estate Broker and was able to put up a real estate
Company, the Alleily Realty Corporation in 1989. Their company
exclusively caters the M.B. Villar Group of Companies.

I-incomparable and Inspirational Wife and Mother

 Aside from being a dedicated, hardworking individual, our guest
of honor possesses beauty that captivated the heart of an Ilocano. He
met the love of her life, Mr. Alfredo Tagalicud Sr., a civil engineer.
They tied knots in ____________________. Luckily, they were blessed
with two wonderful children, Leilanie Tagalicud, 39, who works as
___________________ and Alfredo Tagalicud Jr., 38, who is
__________________. By the time she built her own family, she was
able to balance her career life and family life. Her love for her
husband and her children has always been incomparable and
inspirational to be able to reach ______ years of marriage.

Accomplished and Satisfied Woman

Despite a trial that came in 2009, where she had a fractured

spinal column which made her unable to be bed-ridden and caused
her retirement of being a career woman, she stayed optimistic and
relied on to the Lord of her recovery. Fortunately she was cured and
she recovered . With that, she, together with her husband, decided to
have a simple, stress-free and peaceful life. We are very blessed that
they chose to stay here in our own barangay, to live simply, happily,
and stress-free.

Success does not end when you satisfy only yourself, it becomes
more meaningful when you are able to share it to other people.

With all the above-mentioned achievements and successes she

was able to achieve, our Guest Speaker can say that she has
accomplished much And is satisfied with all the triumphs she had in
life. She came from a well-rounded root, she was able to build her
identity in her chosen career, she was able to create a wonderful and
blessed family, together with her husband, she has extended her hand
to people who are in need. She was loved by the people around her
because of her kind heart, cheerful personality and positive
disposition in life. She is indeed a LYDIA:
