Bend Allowance Tables

The tables below are useful for anyone doing the design of sheet metal parts that are to be
fabricated using CNC equipment. The tables can be used to determine the amount of material
required for the flat layout of bent parts. Please note the tables use the most comon inside radius
measurements and Hansen Industries Ltd.’s capabilities are not limited to these.

Bend Allowance Table Legend

GA = Gauge

T = Material Thickness

K/F = K-factor, the percentage of metal thickness that is used to determine the neutral bend arc radius.

OBD = Outside Bend Deduction

FLmin = Minimum Flange Length
