Requesting a License
Request a License (1/2)
How to determine if you already have a license

Go to the ServiceNow portal: https://gepowerpac.service-now.com/

First, determine if you have a ServiceNow license.


If you only see “Self-Service” modules in the navigation on the left
hand side, you DO NOT have a license. (see example to the left)

If you have a license, meaning you see additional assignment


groups, move to adding assignment group (see example below)

If NOT, continue to the next slide.

Click on Self-Service Admin


Select Request or Change
Role/License
Select PowerGen Quality – View Only

Press Submit, on the right hand side


Logout and then Log back in again
using your SSO credentials

Join Assignment Group(s)
Join “Assignment Groups” (1/3)
What’s an Assignment Group?

• It’s any Region or Function for which you would perform an RCA
• Region e.g. PS Quality Europe
• Function e.g. PS Quality Global Repairs
• Pick the one’s applicable to you
• This will help with future data mining

How to join an assignement group

Click on Self-Service Admin


Select My profile

Scroll down to see Groups


Click Edit (Note: you will not see the Edit button if you
do not logout and then log in again.)

How to join an assignement group

• Type in PS and choose the appropriate


function(s) or region(s) that you belong
to.
• Use the arrows to move the assignment
Group(s) you would like to add into your
Group List.
• Press Save, then Logout.
• When you Log back in again you should
see the RCA modules

What’s an automatic notification?

• When a user is a member of an Assignment group in SN he/she will


receive an automatic e-mail directly generated in SN to their personal
outlook e-mail.
• If a user is a member of many Assignment groups, he/she risks to have
his/her e-mail overfloated with e-mails out of his/her interest.
• The below steps will help you to choose when to receive automatic e-
mails and when not to.

Scroll down to see Related Links


Click on Notification Preferences

changes.
In this case: Power NCR.

Make the changes you prefer.


Hit refresh page once is done.
