Marketing is the management process that an organization uses to explore, create and

deliver the products & services to the consumers while staying ahead in market place. The

organization performs marketing analysis, planning, implementation and control to arrive at

the best marketing strategy and marketing mix, which is made up of 4 core factors- Product,

Price, Place and Promotion (4 Ps of marketing).

For better understanding of the concepts of Marketing, use an example of Toyota Industries.

It has a wide variety of businesses including automobile, accessories and electronics, material

handling equipment, e-Toyota, marine, financial services and warranties. In 2007, Toyota

introduced Toyota Camry Hybrid Model in their Hybrid product line. Toyota has always

maintained quality and affordable prices for their products. Price varies based on the model,

add options and make, which is the main reason for their profits. Toyota chooses the place for

distribution and uses various retailers, dealership outlets, showrooms, exhibition centers and

shopping malls. Toyota uses sales staff to promote their product, also through the TV,

newspaper advertisements, billboards, radio, social media and flyers, their cultural programs,

or social awareness programs and award functions.

To conclude, the marketing strategy and marketing mix of an organization play a crucial role

in achieving the organization’s objectives and goals to provide extraordinary customer value

to its consumers.
