(STUDENTS TAKING EXAMS)

(Liliana flipped the test paper because she’s done answering. Glancing everywhere)

NARRATION (Liliana): Today is our last examination for this school year. After this, we are free.
Free from assignments, projects, and performance tasks. Happiness is evident to my classmates’
eyes. Probably excited as we will be ending this school year.

(Bell ringing –not the school bell-)

CLAVIO: (strict) Time’s up! Pass your papers forward. Now.

(Students passing their test papers)

(While Liliana is fixing her things inside her bag...)

MARIA: Finally done!

LUNA: I need a beauty sleep right now!
CARMELA: Gosh! The exam is so hard!

NARRATION (Liliana): Next week will be the releasing of results. I hope I can get a better rank.
(Liliana grabs her bag and go outside the classroom)

(SCENE 2: HALLWAY)
(WHEN: A WEEK AFTER THE EXAM)
(STUDENTS WALKING INSIDE THE SCHOOL)

DAHLIA: Lili!

(Liliana faced Dahlia)

LILIANA: (smiles) Dahlia!

DAHLIA: The final ranking is already released. Let’s go!

(Liliana nods)

NARRATION (Liliana): The girl beside me is Dahlia, my best friend. She’s the genius in our school.
Highly respected because of her IQ level. She’s always the rank one. I will not even be surprised if
she’ll ranked first again!

(INSIDE THE CLASSROOM)

(MURMURS)

LILIANA: Excuse me! Let us see the ranking.

(Printed ranking: The rank one is Felecia. 2nd is Luna. 3rd is Eliza. 4th is Nina. 5th is Luno. 6th is Liliana.
7th is Florentina. 8th is Carmela. 9th is Carolina. 10th is Giorgia. 11th is Dahlia)

LUNA: Wow! Felecia you ranked first!

MARIA: Of course, I’m a genius. (flips hair)
LAURA: What happened to Dahlia? She always ranked first right?
FLORENTINA: yeah... what happened to her?...

NARRATION (Liliana): At that time, I just stared at my best friend. I don’t know how to comfort her.
She’s... she’s just staring at the paper blankly. And then she runs...

LILIANA: Dahlia! Wait!

(Liliana follows Dahlia... and then she stops)

NARRATION (Liliana): After that, I never thought I couldn’t see her again. How I wish I could go
back in time. How I wish I wasn’t too late...... (closes eyes)

(TRANSITION FROM SCENE 2 TO SCENE 3: Liliana opens eyes)
NARRATION (Liliana): Everyone has different characteristics. My characteristics? I can say that I am
studious. (glances at her classmates) Do you want to know about my classmates? Okay...

First off...

(Zoom in to Carmela)
She’s Carmela...Well... she loves music, but doesn’t really sing. Also, she hardly hears....

LUNO: Carmela... Carmela!!!

(Carmela removes earphones)

CARMELA: What?
LUNO: I’ve been calling your name! Gosh!
CARMELA: Sorry...

(Zoom to Luno)

And that’s Luno. He’s the joker of the class. He is always funny and he loves kpop.

FLORENTINA: Luno... Here is the drawing you requested.

(Zoom to Florentina)

That’s Florentina. She really is a great artist... She won various competitions related to arts.

LUNO: Thank you Flors!

LUNA: Let me see!!

That girl is Luna. She’s the rank 2. She’s childish, noisy and irritating. I personally don’t like her.

MARIA: Luna! Why are you there? Come here!!

She’s the rank 1, Maria. She’s snob, a bully, and a brat. She’s not really smart to rank first.

ELIZA: (sings)

*sigh* I hate to admit this... but that’s Eliza, my best friend. She loves to sing... but singing doesn’t
love her.

CAROLINA: Shut up, Eliza! I’m studying!

And here goes the cleanest student in the classroom. She’s Carolina, and she’s never been dirty.

LAURA: aish! This picture is so ugly! I’ll take another picture. (take a pic)
The “selfie addict” of the class. She’s Laura. There’s never been a day that she never leaves her
phone.

(GIORGIA BUMPS TO NINA AND DROPS THE PHONE)

LAURA: Watch where you’re going Nin! (annoyed)

(Zoom to Giorgia)

And that’s our weirdest classmate. That’s Giorgia. I don’t know but I have a feeling that she’s
traumatized about something...

(Clavio enters classroom) (Students go back to their seats)

CLAVIO: Good Morning

STUDENTS: Good morning sir!
CLAVIO: Let’s start the exam.

(Students taking the exam)

CLAVIO: Pass the papers now!

(Students passing of papers)

CARMELA: Hey Lili! Sir Clavio left his folder. Can you give it to him?
LILIANA: Why me?
CARMELA: uh... because you’re the only one here. And I’m too tired to go to his office.
LILIANA: Fine

(Liliana go to Clavio’s office. She overhears the conversion)

MOTHER: Here is the payment. Thirty Thousand pesos for passing my daughter.
CLAVIO: Rest assured Ma’am. She will also become the rank one. Thank You!
MOTHER: Very well then.

NARRATION (Liliana): what was that?

(SCENE 4: CLASSROOM)

(THE RANKING OF STUDENTS)

(Liliana and Eliza sees the ranking)

LILIANA: Congratulations!! You're rank 4!

ELIZA: Congratulations too! But I think you deserve rank one that *whispers* Maria
LILIANA: It's fine.
ELIZA: You know what? Maria doesn't even reserve to be part of the ranking together with Luna and
Laura.
(FLASHBACK:

MOTHER: Here is the payment. Thirty Thousand pesos for passing my daughter.

(students' worried face)

VOICE: Do you want to see her? But you can't help her..

(Phone notification. Video of Maria)

(SCENE 6: 2ND BUILDING, 2ND ROOM)

(MARIA IS TRAPPED WITH WIRES AROUND HER. SHE'S ALSO SOAKING WET)

MARIA: Help! Please help me!

(Maria is struggling)

MARIA: What do you want from me? You want money? I can give you! I am rich! Please let me go!
(cries)
VOICE: Do you think money will resolve everything? You are very wrong!
MARIA: (shocked) Who are you? Where are you? Come here, you coward!! Release me!!
VOICE: (creepy laugh) You will be released if you solve this problem... But if not... You'll die... And
everyone will see the way you died.
MARIA: Please.... I-I can't solve it... (cries)
VOICE: You're the rank one, right? So, I can say that you're the smartest...hmmm... You can solve it,
right?

(Math problem flashes in the screen)

VOICE: You have one minute to answer the problem.

MARIA: Why is it math? I can't solve this. Help me! Please!!! Ahhhh (cries)

VOICE: 10... 9... 8

MARIA: (cries) Please, someone help me!

VOICE: 7... 6... 5...

MARIA: AHHHHHH! I'm sorry if I did something bad. Please let me go!
VOICE: 4...3...2...
MARIA: Pleaseee!
VOICE: 1... Good bye, rank 1.

(outlet plugged)
(Maria screaming)

(SCENE 7: CLASSROOM)
(STUDENTS CRYING)

CAROLINA: Why is this happening?

CARMELA: There must be a reason.

LILIANA (MIND): Why her?

(Professor Clavio go inside the classroom)

LUNO: Sir! What's going on? Is this a prank? Why is this happening?
CLAVIO: (serious face) I don't know ( sees Luna). Luna.
LUNA: S-sir? (still crying)
CLAVIO: Go to the AVR. Find out who's the mastermind.
LUNA: W-why me, sir??
CLAVIO: I'm going to see the principal. I need to inform him what's going on.

LILIANA: But sir, it's dangerous!

CLAVIO: Just do what I say!

LUNA: I-it's fine (stutters). I can do it.

ELIZA: I'm going with you.
CLAVIO: Just go alone, Luna!

(Sir Clavio goes outside the room)

FLORENTINA: Be safe, Luna.
LUNA: I can do it (stutters)

(Luna go outside the classroom. Walking while glancing everywhere)

(Where: 1st building, 2nd floor)
(She was grabbed by a hand in the comfort room)

(SCENE 8: CLASSROOM TO HALL)

(STUDENTS TALKING ABOUT WHO'S THE MASTERMIND)

LAURA: Who's the mastermind of this?! Is it you? (points to Florentina) You were silent for a while.
Are you the one plotting this?

FLORENTINA: Think before you talk, Laura!! I am not related to any of this. It must be Carmela.
(points to Carmela) You don’t seem to care. You even didn't cry.

CARMELA: Why me?! And what's wrong if I didn't cry? As if crying can solve the problem.

LILIANA: Stop it guys! We must not argue at a time like this! We must be a team.
LAURA: or maybe it's you?
LILIANA: What?
LAURA: Pretending to care but the truth is you really don't!

VOICE: *creepy laugh* It is nice to see you all arguing. Hmmm... Seems like you forgot your
classmate... What is her name, again?

ELIZA: Oh my God! Luna is still not here!

CAROLINA: what did you do to her??!

VOICE: Go to the hall. There is a question waiting for all of you!

(students stare at each other)
(students running to the hall)

(AT THE HALL)

GIORGIA: What is this?
FLORENTINA: It's english. I cannot understand this!

VOICE: Oh, you are already there. See that riddle?

LAURA: of course we do. Now tell us what do we need to do!
VOICE: Don't be impatient.

I speak without a mouth and hear without ears. I have no body, but I come alive with wind. What am
I?

You need to solve the riddle in english to be able to save your classmate.
(screen change to Luna being tied up with an acid infront of her)

STUDENTS: Luna!
(Luna Crying)
Luna: Please save me. Help! Somebody! Help me!

(screen changes to the riddle)

VOICE: You only have one minute to answer.

LILIANA: Why is this so difficult?

ELIZA: Guys! Do you know the answer?

STUDENTS: No
(Luno reading the riddle with a spanish accent)

LUNO: What is this?

VOICE: 10...
FLORENTINA: Lili! answer it!
VOICE : 9...
LILIANA: I can't!

VOICE: 8...7...6...

CAROLINA: Give us enough time!

VOICE: 5...4...
GIORGIA: There's no enough time...
VOICE: 3...2...
CARMELA: We can't answer this...
VOICE: 1...
LILIANA: No!!
VOICE: Say good bye to your friend...
(screen changes to spilling of acid to Luna's Face. Luna is screaming)

LILIANA: *cries* I'm sorry...

ELIZA: Let's escape! Let' get out of here!

VOICE: You can't. You'll die if you set your foot outside the campus.

LILIANA: What are you doing this?!

(no response)

LILIANA: Let's go to a safe place!

ELIZA: To the third building!

(students split out)

(Carmela,Florentina, and Carolina)
(Liliana, Eliza, Laura, Giorgia)

(AT THE THIRD BUILDING)

(while they are walking)
LILIANA (MIND): First is Maria, and then Luna. Rank 1 and Rank 2. Is it possible...? (glances at
Eliza) No! please no!

(SCENE 9: 2ND FLOOR, 3RD BUILDING)

(THEY LOCK THE DOOR)

ELIZA: I think we are safe here.

LAURA: This is the previous dorm right? Dahlia's room?
LILIANA: yes

(roaming around)
(Giorgia found a diary)

GIORGIA: Who owns this?

(the three go to her)

LILIANA: That's Dahlia's Diary.

(Liliana get the diary)

(SCENE 10: FLASHBACK)

(WHEN: MARCH 2018)
(AFTER THE EXAM, DAHLIA OVERHEARS A CONVERSATION)

LUNA: The exam is so hard!

MARIA: Don't worry Luna, our parents will fix it for us. I am very sure that they already paid Sir Clavio
for us to be rank 1 and rank 2.

DAHLIA: what did you say?

MARIA: yah! You scared us!
LUNA: you didn't hear what we are talking about.
MARIA: you better keep your mouth shut, genius. Luna! Let's go!

(SCENE 11: BACK TO PRESENT)

(GIORGIA WILL START TO GO CRAZY)

GIORGIA: NO!! It's my fault. Everything is my fault. If I... If I...

LILIANA: Giorgia, calm down.
ELIZA: What are you talking about??
GIORGIA: If I just said it... If I saved her... (cries) It's all my fault. I'm so sorry!!
LAURA: What's happening to her?
LILIANA: Please calm down!
GIORGIA: If I just spoke, this will not happened.
(FLASHBACK)

GIORGIA (MIND): It's the final ranking. I just wish I got a higher rank.
(Dahlia bumps into Giorgia)

GIORGIA (MIND) : I was curious why she's running and why she seems upset. That's why I followed
her. She went to Sir Clavio's Office.

DAHLIA: Sir! Why am only in the 11th?

CLAVIO: Because that is your result.
DAHLIA: I can't let this happen! I work and study so hard. Why am I only in this rank?
CLAVIO: I just based it to your performances and exams.
DAHLIA: huh! You think I don't know? Some parents paid you so their children will be in the final
ranking.
CLAVIO: (stands up) So what? It's not only me.
DAHLIA: I will report this to the principal. I won't let you win this time.
CLAVIO: Even if you report this, no one will believe you.
DAHLIA: Are you sure? (shows her phone with the record) I recorded everything. You just don't
belittle your student like that, Sir. Specially the genius one.

GIORGIA: And with that, I just saw a crime. Our teacher stab her in the heart. And I did not do
anything but to run...

(SCENE 12: PRESENT)

(A LOUD SHAKING OF THE DOOR)

STUDENTS: AHHHH!!

(The killer go inside the classroom)

LILIANA: NO!
ELIZA: Is he here because of me? I'm the rank 3. (cries) I can't die, Lili. I can't...
LILIANA: Please leave us alone! We did not do anything!

(the killer grabs Laura)

THE THREE: No!

(Laura is struggling)
LAURA: Don't touch me! Let me go!

(the killer throw Laura to the floor and shoots her)

(Slow Motion: reaction of the three)
(the killer go out)

(SCENE 13: HALL)

(The remaining students go to the hall)
(Everyone Crying)
(Professor Clavio is coming)

CLAVIO: Are you all fine?

LILIANA: Asking like you care? (just whispers)
FLORENTINA: Three of your students died... And you just asked us if we are fine?
GIORGIA: Monster (whispers)

CAROLINA: (smelling) Whatb's thag foul smell?

(Everyone covers their nose)

VOICE: oh, everyone is here!

CLAVIO: You son of a demon! Come out!
VOICE: (creepy laugh) I'm not the only demon here...
CLAVIO: What do you want?

VOICE: Nothing... I just want to share about something... About the unfair treatment of one of the
teachers... Being paid to make a not deserving student to overshadowed a genius one. Why did I do
this?? To make him suffer and pay. Now.... I'm going to ask you all... Who is that professor? Who's
the one who killed my daughter?!

(Students shocked)

VOICE: I will give 10 seconds for you to step forward! Or else.... Everone will die with a smoke
bomb...

(Students look at each other)

VOICE: 10.... 9.... 8...

(Students crying)

VOICE: 7....6...5...

ELIZA: Are we really going to die today? (Weak voice)

LILIANA: No. I believe no.
VOICE: 4....3...2...

(Students sign of the cross)

VOICE: 1...

CLAVIO: AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

(Students look up. Shocked)

CLAVIO: (going crazy) Go out!! You!! Where are you?!!

(Students crying)

(SCENE 14: FULL FLASHBACKS)

(from the flashback of the paying of the parents to the death of Dahlia)

(The Father of Dahlia comes out)

(Everyone shocked)

LILIANA: It's... It's Dahlia's father....

ARTURO: You killed my daughter Clavio. And that is what I'm going to do to you.

(Gunshot)
(Black screen)

(SCENE 15: PRESENT TIME- after a year)

(Liliana opens her eyes)

LILIANA (MIND): Everthing happened in a blur. It's been a year, I almost forgot the details.... If you're
going to ask what happened. Well... After the gunshot, the police came with our parents. It saddens
me that Maria, Luna, and Laura died. Sir Clavio did not die. He dodged the gunshot quickly. But he
was arrested because of the crime he did. Uncle Arturo also got arrested. Even if he has a huge
reason to do the crime, it will never be right to kill.

Today is our final ranking. And guess what??...

ELIZA: Congratulations Best friend! You are a real genius!

STUDENTS: Congratulations Lili!!

(Eliza gave the paper with the ranking. Zoom to the rank 1)

ELIZA: Let's go! We will celebrate our ranking.

(Liliana laughs)

ELIZA: I'll wait for you outside(go out of the classroom)

LILIANA (MIND): (fixes bag) I completely move on from what happened.

(Liliana go out of the classroom)

LILIANA (MIND): I'm happy that it is already over. (smiles)

(Dahlia's face appears)
