ABSTRACT

Smart Home domain is a new trendy way of home automation and energy conservation.
The increasing demand on home automation and self care for the elderly and the
disabled persons has led to the increasing number of research works and academic
publications in this domain. To date, there is no comprehensive survey on research
papers based on home automation. The main objective of this paper is to identify the
main applications of various home automation technologies and future enhancements
needed in this field. The paper also reviews the different energy conservation ideas that
are implemented in the field of smart homes.

Introduction
What is SMART HOME?

Smart Home is collaboration of technology and services through a network for better
quality living. A smart home allows the entire home to be automated and therefore
provide ease and convenience to everyday activities in the home. This technology is
used to make all electronic devices to act ‘smart’. In the near future almost all the
electronic devices will take advantage of this technology through home networks and
the internet. Many people think this technology as pure networking. Others think this
technology will reduce their work load, but smart home technology is combination of
both and much more. Smart home technology is currently being implemented for
entire house in particularly kitchen and living room. Basically, smart home facilitates
users with security, comfortable living and energy management features as well as
added benefits for disabled individuals.
This technology might sound new but it just uses the existing technologies. A smart
device is a common appliance with a much more complex computer installed to give
it more functionality. These functions are the ones which makes it so different. Cable
broadband, DSL, Bluetooth and wireless technologies provide a way to have a home
networked for devices to communicate with each other as well as internet. These
technologies either wired or wireless provide foundation on which smart home will
operate.

Happy Story
Kundan, who is a student lives in this house as kundan is a student. He has to wake
up early in the morning .now after taking his morning bath kundan feels refreshed and when
he is done with his break fast his mood is lighter and so kundan can go to college in a good
mood with high spirit.

Happy Story
When kundan comes back from college he is stressed and a bit tired.but after finally
coming home and refreshing himself he can relieve that stress in such a time sitting in his
balcony and listening to music he enjoys the moments peace.

Sad Story

Kundan often worried about waste of water that was going on not only in his society
but also in his own house when we put a through to how much water can be saved with a
smart system that can save water also the fact that how using renewable energy sources
can not only impact on the environment but also electricity bill.

Sad Story
A smart house will provide security against robbery and also add fire safety to his
house and considering all this facts it will put a sense of security to the mind of the person
liiving in it just like kundan.

Conclusion and Future Work. The project has proposed the idea of smart homes that can
