EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Introduction

B.F.L is a start-up lace retail establishment located at 237 Rivera


St. Tondo Manila. B.F.L provides the most innovative, creative and
eco-friendly product because of the primary material used such as
recycled clothes. Most of the people, especially the students need
lace to hold their things such as ID’s. By the product that our
company produced, the students can buy lace that can help them to
hold their important things in a lower price but with a high quality
product. B.F.L aims to offer its products at a lower price to meet the
demand of the consumers.

The Company

B.F.L will be located 237 Rivera St. Tondo Manila where a lot of
factory is located. It is owned and managed by the students of
Arellano University Juan Sumulong Campus, the Grade 12 STEM 4
students. B.F.L consists of co-owners Jefferson Cavaneyro, he is also
the C.E.O of the company and Noreen May Rivera, the COO. Both
partners will be taking hands-on management roles in the company.
In addition, we have assembled a staff or personnel to help the
owners managing their business. Nicole Lagamon (Marketing Head),
Louise Aluzada (Operating Head), Nicole Smith (Sales Head), Ina
Morales (Admin Head), Kesia Almodal (HR Head), Daniel Anaviso
(Marketing Team), Markjohn Barba (Sales Team) and Nichols Batac
(HR Team). They will help to handle customer service and day to day
operations.

Products and Services

B.F.L will provide a ID lace, Bags sling and bracelets using a


recycled clothes. The product has a high quality and it is also eco-
friendly that customized as a handmade. We will provide different
styles, designs and colors as what the consumers want. We will
produce a product that is affordable and has a high quality to meet
the demand of the consumers.

The Market

Nowadays many company produced laces out of printing machine


and expensive silk. Many students can’t afford those products
because of its price so that B.F.L made a customized and affordable
product. Our company wants to meet the demand of the consumers.
B.F.L wants to establish a large regular customer base, and will
therefore concentrate its business and marketing on local residents,
which will be the dominant target market. This will establish a
fascination, consistent revenue base to ensure stability of the
business. This makes for an excellent environment for an industry
participant such as lace factories that is willing to compete in a niche
market and be first to the market with new products.

Financial Considerations

Projected costs are to be ₱250,000.00which includes leasehold


improvements (build out of the shop), equipment purchases,
opening inventory and working capital needs. This amount does not
include the ₱35,000.00 Franchise Fee, ₱10,000.00 fran's Grand
Opening contribution. The cost of architect's plans for the store which
Mr. Cavaneyro and Ms. Rivera have already invested in this business
from their own funds. The principal is seeking to finance the
remainder of this project through local lending institutions using
assistance of Small Business Administrations with an agreement that
allows for loan repayment over 10 years.

Braided Felt Lace is one of the most innovative and creative
product that our company provide. This product was an
environmental-friendly product because of the primary materials
used such as recycled clothes. This product has high-quality and an
eco-friendly quality that customized as hand made. Most of the
people, majority the students need lace to hold or hang their
important things such as their ID's or identification cards. By thus
product, the consumer could gain rarity as this generation use
common lace thaw was made out of machine.

Braided Felt Lace potentially causes a high demand because the


majority of the market space are students. Apparently, most number
of students can't afford high-quality lace but because of this product,
they could surely buy a customized, high-quality, affordable lace
reasonably due to its recycled materials. We utilized flyers to
promote and offer our product. The benefits and sort of twists to
where do the product made out of. One of its type competitor is the
DIY PRINTING: CUSTOM PRINTED LANYARD. They practically made
laces out of printing machine that was totally common now a day.
The target of this product is to boost the impact of this innovative
product to the consumer in comparison to the common laces.

Braided Felt Lace will produce an affordable product that anyone


can buy. We will make sure that our product has high and eco-
friendly quality because of the primary materials used such as
recycled clothes. We will make sure that the clothes we will used to
create a lace is clean. We will provide a different color combination
of lace to make sure that it will satisfy our customers.

Braided Felt Lace will ensure the safety and cleanliness of our
working place, we will make sure that there is always a general
cleaning. We will train our employees to be good with customers so
that the customers will feel comfortable with our staffs.

b. Short Historical Background

Braided Felt Lace was founded on July 2019 by Ms. Noreen


Rivera who is also Chief Operating Officer of the team. Noreen Rivera
who was studying at Arellano University discovered a common
concern in meeting the need of the students in buying and affording
ID Lace. The founder later initiated a plan to create an innovative
customized handmade lace out of recycled pile of clothes. Instead of
throwing old clothes that are no longer in use. She came up to an
idea of using those clothes to create useful product that would be
demand now a days. Together working with her is the Chief
Executive Office, Mr. Jefferson Cavaneyro who is the majority money
contributor of the sold products and currently a pro in functioning
the business and other colleagues and member of the team are doing
their best in their tasks. Ms. Nicole Lagamon as Marketing head, Ms.
Louise Aluzada as Operating Head, Ms. Nicole Smith as Sales Head,
Ms. Ina Morales as Admin Head, Ms. Kesia Almodal as Human
Resource Head, Mr. Daniel Anaviso as Marketing Team, Mr. Mark
John Barba as Sales Team, & Mr. Nichols Batac as Human Resource
Team.

The team are strongly uniting to meet the success in


persuading the investors and Board of Directors of other company to
buy in bulk and be our major customers. This new product innovation
was already an achievement that displays the commitment and
dedication of BRAIDED FELT LACE COMPANY in providing the great
product & service to its clients and consumer in every task given to
them.

II. Opportunity Analysis

a. Environmental Scanning/ Environmental Analysis

The Braided Felt Lace Company is planning to develop a product


prioritizing students, employees, and teachers but also targeting any
gender and age as long as they will need and want the lace product.
The Location will not be shift but be added aside from school and
universities. The company added another target location such as an
open areas like plaza, near at the beach and bazaar. The company
has a wide range target size so they are planning to collaborate with
other investor to produce sure enough products by following the
demand of the time. More and more people are now attracted to
accessories such as lace.

b. Opportunity Selection

We choose this Business because we know that a lot of student


and also teachers they want to dive to something attractive that’s
why we able to produce this kind of product because breaded felt
lace is not just a lace instead it is very fashionable look and eco-
friendly. The business will not just love by affordable price, we will
give also a high quality and satisfaction to the customers. We can
say that this business will have a good profit to bring back the capital
and will surely love by users.

Braided felt lace will provide a comprehensive line of equipment


made in recyclable materials that make sure you can help to our
society. In this product you can choose many different colors and
you can customize it made on your own, to experience how to braid
beautiful and exact on your own expectations. In this product, to
make sure you gain not only beautiful product but you can also gain
more experience because of good service and free teaching on how
to braid your customize braided felt lace.

Our target market will be the students and workers that is using a
lace for their ID’s or identification data. We chose them as our target
market because of their high population and they are the ones who
is in need of our product. The location where we will put our business
will be near the schools or universities and companies. Even in open
areas such as plazas, near the beaches and bazaars. To get the
consumers attention, we will give fliers in order for them to know
more about our product. We all know that some of laces today is
made by machines and is not that affordable especially for those who
‘s in budget. Through our product which is the Braided Felt Lace, we
will answer their problems. And through it, they will feel the quality
of our product.

V. Capital Sourcing

In Braided Felt Lace the personal savings P5,000 of our


company will be used for the construction of our small store and
other will be used for the foundation of the product. Our company
decided as well to borrow from our family and get loan from the bank
that will be used for the other expenses that will be needed in case
of emergency on our store or product. After the work is done, the
other income will be deducted to pay the borrowed money and loan
from the bank and after paying those we decided to upgrade our
product for nicer quality. We will make sure that our product will be
of high quality even though it is made from old fabrics but it will be
affordable to consumers, we will ensure that the costumers are
satisfied.

VI. 7P’s of Marketing


a. Product

MATERIALS:

 Old Clothes (assorted as possible)

 Tape Measures/ Ruler/ Any measuring Tools
 Needle and Thread
 Lanyard Hook
 Beads and sequence (optional)

PROCESS:

1) Ready the materials for making the laces. Choose a preferred color
of cloth for the lace.
2) Mark the area of cloth to be cut then cut the t-shirt.

3.) Used the measuring tape to measure the length and width of the
desired piece of and cut it based on the mark.
4.) Using the needle and thread, sew the piece of cloth or the cloth
that being cut so it can braid.

5.) After cutting and sewing, braiding the piece of cloth can finally
start. Any kind of braid can be use by making the laces.
7.) Braiding is done and also the lace. Sew the edge of the braided
cloth and attach the lanyard hook or put some beads and sequence
to complete the design of the lace.

b. Price

We decided to sell our braided felt lace at the price of 15 pesos


only, we all know that this price is very affordable for teacher
especially to the students because this kind of lace has very
fashionable look and very attractive to eye. We don’t want to sell it
in a higher price because our main target are the students, teacher
and any person who will need the product. It is an eco-friendly lace,
at a lower price you can afford a good quality and very much
affordable lace.

c. Place

We decided to put our business near in schools and companies like


Barrio Obrero Elementary School, Chiang Kai Shek College and
Jayson Auto Supply Company Incorporated. Our location is just a
walking distance if you're studying and working at Antonio Rivera St.
Tondo, Manila. We place it there because out target is students,
employees, teachers and any gender and ages. We know that there
are the thousands of employees, teachers and students studying
near in this place. This street will become the best place for us to set
up a business. Our company needs this thousands of
people/customers for our product to be recognized by all.

1. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) -is the highest-ranking executive


in a company, whose primary responsibilities include making major
corporate decisions, managing the overall operations and resources
of a company, acting as the main point of communication between
the board of directors (the board) and corporate operations and
being the public face of the company.
2. Chief Operating Officer (COO) –is one of the highest ranking
executive position in an organization. COO provides the leadership,
management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has
the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting
procedures and people systems in place effectively grow the
organization and to ensure financial strength.
3. Marketing Head/Officer –responsible for all marketing strategies
and activities within the company. Oversees the marketing
department and provides direction and feedback on major projects.
Makes by decisions regarding product distribution, budgeting,
branding and sales.
4. Operating Head Officer –is responsible for all administrative
functions, operations, management, process improvement,
identifying various compliance issues and strategies planning and
development.
5. Sales Director –implement national sales by developing field sales
action plans. Maintain sales volume, changing trends, economic
indications, competitors and supply and demand. Plans, monitors
and approves job result.
6. Office Administrator -has the responsibility of ensuring that the
administrative activities within an organization run efficiently, by
providing structure to other employees throughout the organization.
These activities can range from being responsible for the
management of human resources, budgets and records, to
undertaking the role of supervising other employees.
7. Human Resources Department –manage the numerous needs of
company employees. The HR handles a range of different functions
in hiring and firing employees, maintaining interoffice relationships,
compensation and benefits and designing work. She also maximizing
the productivity of an organization by optimizing the effectiveness of
its employees.
8. Marketing Team –helps the marketing head to promote the
businesses mission. They reach out to prospects, customers, and
investors of the company.
9. Sales Team –responsible for making sales, growing business and
retaining customer. And it also maintains the relationship with
customers.
10. HR Team –helps the HR Head to manage and check the
information of the employees.

Policy Brief and Purpose:

Our company, Braided Felt Lace is proclaiming an employee of


conduct company policy and consumer code of conduct company
policy regarding their behavior towards their colleagues, supervisors
and overall organization included the consumer. The consumer or
customer must also do the consumer code of conduct company
policy. We promote freedom of expression and open communication
but we expect all employees and consumers to follow our code
conduct that will range from 8am to 4pm totally and 8 hours of work.

SCOPE: This policy applies to all our employees and consumer in


their respective range and scope.

CODE OF CONDUCT:
 COMPLIANCES AND LAWS- All employees must protect our
company’s legality. We expect the employees to be ethical
responsible when dealing with our company’s finances, products,
partnerships and public image. The consumer should be honest and
avoid the unnecessary action such that stealing and furtive manner.
 RESPECT IN THE WORKPLACE- All employees should respect their
colleagues. We won’t allow any kind of discriminatory behavior,
harassment or victimization. The employees should treat nicely the
consumer hence the consumer also did the same way good
treatment to the employees.
 PROTECTION OF COMPANY PROPERTY- Employees shouldn’t
misused company equipment or use it frivolously. Employees should
protect company facilities and other material property from
damages, whenever possible. The consumer should be responsible
in taking care of the product and materials of the company.
 ABSENTEEISM AND TARDINESS- Employees should follow their
schedules on time or being punctual in every aspect, either leaving
or coming to work.
 DRESS CODE- All the Employees should follow the dress codes of
the company.
 Should wear their uniform shirt, according to their departments.
 Wearing ripped jeans and short is strictly NOT ALLOWED.
 Employees are free to wear any kinds of foot cover except slippers.

The Braided Felt Lace Enterprise will be located at near


schools and companies to be exact at the Antonio Rivera St. Tondo,
Manila. We know that there are multiple employees, teachers and
students studying near in this place. This Lace Enterprise is managed
by the Chief executive director, Mr. Jefferson Cavaneyro together
with the Co-founder named Ms. Noreen May Rivera. The company
was divided by designated teams, departments and supervisions.
The head of marketing team, Ms. Nicole Jerian Lagamon; Head of
Operating Team, Ms. Louise Aluzada; Head of Sales Department,
Ms.Nicole Smith; Head of Admins department, Ms.Ina Cassandra

Sales Department and Mr. Nichols Batac under Human Resource
Team. We gladly offer the different braided-colored-fabric Laces by
an affordable price. We could also do some formal design if the
customer wants to. Braided Felt Lace is targeting a goal, which is to
be one of the popular and notable current trends in the production
of laces, specially for Identification cards(ID) laces.
