STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Name: Maulik Vinubhai Shankar

I hail from a middle-class Indian family and I’ve learnt from ephebic age that
There is no option to hard work. Hard work will always bring happiness to
one’s life. My father, Vinubhai Shankar is a farmer in a small village named
Ghughrala in Gujarat. My mother, Sobhaben Shankar is a Home-Maker. I’ve
one younger brother whose name is Himanshu is currently studying in Primary
School.

From my teenage, I was curious about learning how chemicals react. My father
used to spray insecticide to the crops and add fertilizers. I was curious how
insecticides keep pests away from the crop and adding fertilizers increases the
productivity and quality of crops. My father learned my interest in Science and
suggested me to opt for Science.

A discerning alumnus of Shree H.K. Badani High school, Ghughrala, affiliated

to Gujarat state education board, I completed 10th Grade in 2010, and achieved
an aggregate of 71.38%. As a keen learner of Chemicals, I opted for Science as
the preferred stream and gave the Intermediate Examination in 2012, securing
an aggregate of 60.62%. Thereafter, I completed my Bachelor of Science in
Chemistry (Hons.) in 2015, from M.B. Patel Science College, Anand affiliated
to Sardar Patel University, Anand, and achieved a First division of 7.68 CGPA.
Furthermore, I completed my Masters in Chemistry (Organic Chemistry) from
Department of Chemistry, Vallabh Vidyanagar affiliated to Sardar Patel
University and achieved a First Division of 7.11 CGPA.

During the last semester of my Masters, I secured my job via campus placement
program as a Junior Research Associate in Research & Development Lab in
Piramal Pharma Solutions, Ahmedabad. My job was to synthesis drug by
creating minimum amount of pollution to the Environment. As my probation
period got complete, I was promoted as Senior Research Associate in ADL
where my job was to ensure the quality of the drug is maintained as per Indian
Pharmacopoeia.

As a developing nation, India, currently has a numerous industry where talent is

highly appreciated. There is a high demand of Post Graduates in these industries
who has skills. As Canada is providing good quality education as well as
Dissertation during post-graduation, I would like to enrol myself in Canada so
that I can be more advanced and more skillful in my field.
I want to pursue my Masters from Canada because the Education standard in
Canada is far better than India and I can easily get absorb in top leading
industries in India with a good reputed Post.
