 Introduction
Taming National High School is located along the highway to
Tagbilaran City with an approximate distance of seven kilometres away
from Poblacion, Danao, Bohol and sixty five kilometres away from
Tagbilaran City. The school site has an approximate land area of twenty
four thousand one hundred fifty six square meter. This site is plain and
bounded with mountain with eleven functional classrooms. Taming
National High School has the enrolment of 418 students, comprising 219
males and 199 females. It has 24 teaching staffs and ONE ADAS
personnel. There are 6 teachers handling MAPEH subject.
Based on the result of the Nutritional Status of the Students of
Taming National High School and pupils of Taming Elementary School for
the baseline, 10% of the schools’ population is undernourished. The
administration of Taming National High School and Taming Elementary
School found the result quite alarming thus triggered us to seek for best
solution because we believe that health is directly proportional to mental
ability of a learner.
The program partnership between the Department of Education
and Nestle Philippines, Inc. in close coordination of the DepEd Regional
Office, motivates every school to educate the learners in the proper food
intake and to promote healthy lifestyle here in school, to their home and
community.
The said program is a heaven for this gives us hope that one of our
concerns in school will be given solution. This would surely help us
eradicate malnutrition not only in our schools but in the community as
well. This is the beginning of a new life- a new lifestyle- that opens a
brighter and healthier future ahead for us.
