Pre- Commissioning and Commissioning Responsibiliti

 Commissioning assistance in Field for star up circulation, material inventorying and plant startup.
 Checking and follow-up of the pipe laying/equipment according to the PFD, P&ID,
isometricclearance and Identification of P&ID, Isometric mismatch.
 Planning & execution of Pre-commissioning activities like cardboard blasting, Airblowing,Water
Flushing,Inertization etc.

 Box up and leak test of equipment and pipelines.

 Nitrogen purging/ O2 freeing of the systems.
 Solo run and Mechanical running test of pumps.

 Stroke checking of control valves and final clearance

 Final Clearance of Piping Loops &Equipment
 Coordinated with the Vendor for Startup of Machines.
 Maintaining, updating and monitoring the pre-commissioning and commissioning records.

Operational Responsibilities
 Plant Startup and shutdown activities.
 Handled start up, shutdown and Emergency operation.
 Startup of Pumps, Compressors etc.
 Routine checkup of all process equipment.

 Reporting all the abnormalities and failure to the control room and to take corrective measure
 Controlling and maintaining process parameters as per technical region.
 Troubleshooting of the process operations during power failure, Instrument Air failure, Utility and
DCS failure.
 Change over operation of pumps, compressor etc
 Pertaining to Safe Operations of the Unit & operating the equipment’s as per standard
operating procedure (SOP).

 Co-ordinate with the technical and maintenance service department to solve the problem.
 Health monitoring of Rotating Equipment.
 To co-ordinate with the Panel Engineers for trouble free operation
 Adept in handling operating activities of the operations unit, system and equipment in the
refinery to process feed stock..

 An effective communicator & team leader with skills in troubleshooting, team building
 capability & abilities in planning & managing resources.
 Draw sample for routine and conduct special test operation in the field.
 Response as a firefighter in case of fire in the unit.
 Assist mechanical crew in preventive maintenance of equipment and instruments crew
in maintenance and calibration of process instruments.

 Handling Trouble shooting &Emergency of the plant.

 Carryout safe Shut down, Start up and Changeover of equipment/plant.
 Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment and instruments.
 Proper recording of field data.

 Ensuring compliance of all safety practices and procedures.

 Co-ordinate with maintenance departments (Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation) for
smoothand efficient functioning of unit.
 Reporting to the Shift-in-charge about various aspects of production, technical problems and
fieldactivities carried out in shift.

Site Inspections and Work Permit:

 Issuing:
Work permits for blinding, De-blinding, hot works, Vehicle entry, cold works etc.
 Certificates for confined space entry and work at height.
 Conducting authorized gas testing and issuing LOTO system

Fire and Safety

 Preparation of work permit and Knowledge of fire & Safety procedure.

 Experience in the operation of fire extinguishers using Foam, DCP, and Co2.
 Familiar with Fire & Gas detection system, fire hydrants and monitors.
