6. Adequacy for the Assignment:

I had my experience in laboratory test when I was assigned as Resident engineer on some projects of DPWH. I was one of the
monitoring team assuring that the materials used in the project meets the standard of DPWH. Prior to the materials usage, the materials
should undergo into laboratory testing, on road projects Field Density Test are needed before the contractor can proceed and many
more.
Some of duties of Laboratory Test Engineer;
- Go out to site to obtain samples or the foreman will deliver the samples;
- Conduct the testing;
- Write reports and provide feedback to Management;
- Planning and managing the laboratory and its staff;
- Assisting in the laboratory helping with advanced and new testing methods;
- Resolving problems - especially with unusual soil and aggregate samples, and special concrete mix designs;
- Attend contract planning and site meetings when special construction material related matters are discussed;
- Visit sites on a regular basis.
- Go out to site to obtain samples or the foreman will deliver the samples;
