Vacancy Title: PHP LAMP Developer

I would like to apply for the position of PHP LAMP Developer as advertised on the
Jobsite recruitment website.

When I joining Ten Alps as a Web Developer I was exposed to many web
technologies such as PHP, SQL, HTML and CSS. Since joining Keepthinking I have
become vastly improved in these areas and also become very comfortable with such
technologies as Ajax, Jquery and JavaScript through regular exposure.

I administrate my own Linux server running Apache on Debian. Maintaining and

configuring the server to manage load efficiently, optimising the MySQL server and
running automated scripts to keep the server backed up.

I am suitable for this position as I am a graduate in Multimedia Computing and have 4

years commercial experience as a web developer.

I have vastly improved my front-end development skills, with the ability to create
wire-frames from client specifications on to designing the assets and layouts on an
image manipulation program such as Photoshop and Fireworks. I can create WC3
validated CSS and HTML and I have also enhanced my front-end development with
JavaScript libraries such as Jquery and Jquery ui.

I am proficient OOP PHP 5+ and MySQL, always thriving to improve my knowledge

and understanding in these areas.

I am a fast learner and very keen to further my LAMP Development skills. I feel that I
have the necessary aptitude to succeed in this role, as I am creative, enthusiastic and
meticulous.
