Greetings!

As our partner in public service especially in our efforts to save lives and
properties, please allow me to share the following important provisions of Republic Act
9514 (Fire Code of the Philippines of 2008):

Para D, Section 6.0.2, All barangays shall endeavor to organize their

Div 2, Rule 6 own Fire Brigades
Para B, Section 7.0.1.2, Organization and training of fire brigades in all
Div 1, Rule 7 barangays in partnership with BFP to serve as
first responders

In this connection and considering that majority of the barangays within your
municipality have not yet organized and trained their Barangay Fire Brigades, we would
like to ask for your assistance by helping us remind and encourage those non-compliant
barangays to have their barangay fire brigades organized and trained in coordination
and with the assistance of the BFP.

We would be glad to immediately act on their letter requests indicating their

preferred dates or period.

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to remind every citizen that fire
safety is everybody’s concern and that everyday should be fire prevention day.
