    Trip objectives: Sales, new customers and marketing research

    Trip Results:

    1- Achievements obtained

    I could Identify and personally meet the owner of Importadora El Pirata and we start to
    work in a 20’ HC container list from NICAMERICA, I already sent the desired list to
    Carlos (NICAMERICA) to see what they have, how we can work and so on. I hope I can
    close this deal, but I can’t advance anything because of the previous experience with the
    Costa Rica customer in New Jersey, let’s see what happen.
    I got a deeper approach of the requirements of the Costa Rica customers.

    2- Observations

    Although it is a very small country with around 5 million habitants, I could find, only in
    Santa Ana, Heredia and San Jose around 20 stores of used clothes or American clothes as
    they call it here.
    People are very closed with the business and in the first visit they do not provide
    information, which will take more time to open the market and several visits.
    There are some new regulations coming from the government in June to the used clothes
    especially from sanitation and taxes.
    Garson & Shaw already is working with 2 big companies, Renovacion and Paca Loca.
